Red Ribbon Week

What a great week RED RIBBON week! We celebrated being special creations of God.

Monday we brought in some snuggly "friends" to help us celebrate.

We also had fun playing Red Rover...

"Red Rover, Red Rover send the letter N right over."

Tuesday was a SUPER day!

We used our special powers to figure out the missing number.

Some couldn't believe how great their super powers were!

It was a great game!

Their super powers also helped them with a crazy ring toss game.

We also had a SUPER chapel.

Mr. Kuhlmann from Lutheran High came by to talk about pumpkins.

He did a great job of carving a pumpkin face!

He inspired us to carve our own pumpkins.

The kids couldn't believe what was on the inside!

We decided to open the green pumpkin and see if it had green on the inside.

Some were a little nervous it might smell funny!

We decided to take a closer look at the pumpkins.
Some described it as gooey.
Others said it was slimey.
Some thought it was just plain disgusting!
There were also some kids that thought it tickled a little.

Some of the children were a little hesitant to touch the inside of the pumpkin.

They couldn't wait to wash their hands off!

Before they did, they had to pick out 5 seeds.

It was a little tricky!

But it was a SUPER day!

Wednesday had us all tangled up.

We learned about spiders and created our own web.

Catching the letters without getting caught in the web was a little tricky!

Mr. Marolf even joined in the fun!

It was one hair raising experience!

Before the day was over, some special 1st graders stopped by to help us.

Together we made some cards thanking the firefighters for all of their hard work.

They helped us write and create.

When we were all done they were such great friends and read to us.

What a fun bunch of new friends we made.

We finished our week with a "BRIGHT FUTURE".

More spidery fun showed up.

We played another fun spider game.

What a great week of fun with friends!

I wonder what super fun things we will soar into next week!
