A Perfect Week!

No monkeying around this week!

We had pumpkins on our mind!

We were getting ready for lots of pumpkin adventures.

First we examined the pumpkins comparing them to apples.
Measuring the pumpkins with linking cubes also was on the agenda.

Some kids even used a tape measure to see how wide the pumpkins were.

We used an art technique called pointillism to create some polka dotted pumpkins.

After we sprayed them with water they became quite the master pieces.

The detectives came back on Tuesday.

This time we were looking for shapes.

We found lots of shapes hiding on the playground!

This week we had some very special teachers show up to help us!
Miss Avery...

and Miss Addison helped us out with gym.
Parachute was quite the exciting activity.

We even turned it into a picnic blanket with "food" on it!

Next up was chapel in the Commons.

Pastor Rouland led our chapel. He taught us that our Heavenly Father is always with us.

Recess took us up to the black top to play.

Miss Avery taught the kids some hop scotch,

while Miss Addison played a different game.
They even helped the kids on the monkey bars.

And helped them with their shoes.

The two new teachers did a great job of teaching the kids.

The kids loved reading with them.

And hearing their fun stories and

and their fun songs!

We had a few songs to teach them too!

Lunch time was even more fun with our two teachers there to join us!

Activity time brought some fun learning too!

Miss Addison and Miss Avery did a great job of teaching us.

We found out they are good at doing hair too!

What talented girls they are!

We finished the day playing Pingo (Bingo)!

However, we were ALL winners because of our fun day!

We hope our new teachers will stop by again soon!

Thursday we were ready to cheer on our cross-country team.

They were headed to state this weekend!

Friday finally arrived, we were ready to go!
We went to Eagle's Fork Pumpkin Farm!

We did some digging...
and found some special treasures.

We also found LOTS of pumpkins.

Some were rather odd looking!

We also found some animals!

There were even chickens!

There were a lot of fun things to crawl through.
Even a straw maze!

The corn bin was also fun to play in.
Some took corn baths!

There was also a fun playground...

complete with a slippery slide.

Whew! It was nice to sit down and take a break.

There was another special ride that we went on!
Farmer Charlie took us on a wagon adventure.

The kids LOVED going on the wagon ride!

Before we left, we picked out the perfect pumpkin.
Some were big!

Some were little.

All of them were just right!
We didn't want to leave the pumpkin farm.

It was the perfect day for a Pumpkin Patch Adventure.

When we got back we sang a poem about pumpkins.

We even acted it out!

Some kids even made their very own pumpkin patch complete with fans to keep the pumpkins cool.

They also tried to paint a pumpkin that looked just like the one they picked out.
Perfect pumpkin masterpieces!
We finished the day with a special Friday reader.

A silly book about Splat the Cat had us on the edge of our seats and full of smiles and laughter!

It was a picture perfect week!

We will see what our short week has in store for us next week...
