We were all lined up for another great week.
It was definitely a week worth cheering for!
We found a new way to use yarn...We painted with it!
Each child received four small pieces of yarn
and figured out a way to use it as a painting tool.
Wow! What a creative bunch of artists!
We began talking about how to take care of the earth, so we read The Lorax.
After reading the book, the children each created their own truffula trees.
They made quite the truffula tree patterns.
We also made a trip to the church basement to visit our Prayer Pals.
It had been awhile since we had seen them.
We had a lot of catching up to do!
There were lots of stories to tell.
And some beautiful pictures to share too!
Shhh...There might have even been a few secrets to share!
There were definitely lots of hugs
and smiles!
We are counting the days until we get to see them again.
Chapel this week was a very special one...
Mr. Marolf told us the story of Zachhaeus.

She taught them a few things while she was here. :)

We spent one final day with our wonderful maze creations!
Mrs. Helmkamp came to help us do some coding with our mazes.
It was fun to hear the kids figure out how to get the "cat" through the maze.
They had to come up with the right code to get to the end of the maze.
Simply AMAZING!
One of my favorite parts of the week
was learning about how Jesus washed His disciples feet.
We talked about being servants and reenacted the story by washing each others' feet.
First Mrs. Aslin painted each child's foot.
Then their partner washed
and dried their foot.
Some kids were all smiles and giggles.
They couldn't believe how much it tickled!
Some kids weren't so sure about getting their foot painted at first
but their partner reassured them.
However, some weren't too crazy about washing each other's feet!
One thing is for sure...
The kids will never forget their Bible verse... Serve one another in love. :)
We ended our week cheering on the Cardinals.
We were down and ready for more fun!
We played a fun sight word baseball game.
They tossed the ball back and forth
as they spelled their sight word.
Then they hit their word out the park!
The kids were also hard at work designing baseball stadiums.
They thought of everything!
They even designed fireworks for when the Cardinals hit a homer! :)
Our wonderful week was not complete until our Friday reader showed up!
A fun uncle read to us a great story that had the kids laughing and smiling to end our day.
We are all set to jump right into another week of learning adventures!
