Nothing compares to the wonderful week we had celebrating Easter.
We started off the week measuring with easter eggs.
Next up was JELLY BEAN DAY!
We had our own little jelly bean factory.
We worked hard at our factory!

First we designed our own jelly beans...

By painting them in a very special way.

JUMPING JELLY BEANS!
They were quite the master pieces.
We also examined our jelly beans for any "belly flops".
Some were WAY too big.
Others were stuck together.
We couldn't believe some of the crazy jelly beans we found!
We made sure to write down the ones that didn't make the cut.
We also practiced sorting jelly beans.
We had to make sure no belly flops snuck in there.
When we were all done
we picked out 10 of our favorites and created our very own bag of jelly beans.
A surprise visitor stopped by on Wednesday... MISS JULIA!
She brought a friend to help us learn about capacity.
At this "Cooking Show" we had to fill containers to see how much they held.
Next we had to figure out the capacity of some easter baskets.
Crazy Miss Julia tossed the eggs to Miss Betty as they counted how many eggs fit in the basket.
We were lucky not to have any scrambled eggs!
It was a great "Cooking Show", and the children did a great job of learning about capacity!
Next it was our turn to practice being the easter bunny.
We had fun delivering popcorn words and special egg with money inside!
Making easter baskets was also on our list of things to get done
for our EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA!
Before we had our Easter Hunt...
We made sure to deliver some eggs
to some very special people at Zion.
AND we surprised them with some good news... HE IS RISEN INDEED!
We also began talking about butterflies and NEW LIFE!
They were very SURPRISED at how their butterflies turned out!
Finally it was time for our very own egg hunt.
We grabbed our baskets
Eggs just kept popping up everywhere!
We also found some other special treats...
including an egg with a seed in it to remind us of NEW LIFE.
The cross we found was a special gift that will always remind us of the true meaning of Easter.
The many blessings that God gives to us simply cannot fit into a basket.
He is RISEN indeed! ALLELUIA!
STUDENT OF THE WEEK
She just turned 6 years old!
She likes the color purple.
Her favorite food is chef salad.
If she could go anywhere, it would be to the Magic House.
She has a dog and a fish, but she wants a butterfly for a pet.
She loves art, music, and swimming.
If she could have a superpower, it would be super speed flying.
Her favorite Bible verse is: Love the Lord your God...
She is glad that Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
