as the kids had great fun talking more about baseball
and even created their own baseball stadiums.

We also balanced out the week learning about bears.

It was quite the balancing act,

but we worked hard to get it done!

After talking about "Corduroy the Bear", we made our own bears...

and had some fun with buttons!
They also had fun organizing
and sorting the buttons.
Mr. Debrick also showed up this week in gym class!
He helped us out with a few basketball skills.
We worked on dribbling

and shooting!
We have quite the sharp shooters among us!
We BEARLY made it through the week but these fun friends came to join us!

We went on a "bear hunt"
looking for all kinds of bears.
We matched up some bears to their caves.
Some were a little tricky to find.

And we found some bears by a "swamp".
We even found some great 5th graders we knew quite well.
We ended the hunt at a "cave"!

They weren't scared!

Our day wasn't complete until we had a little picnic with our bears!

It was quite the buffet of Bb snacks!
It was a BEARY good day indeed.

Bear Day was over, but we didn't let that "bug" us!
We were swatting b's!
Mrs. Helmkamp also came to join us.
She taught the kids all about Be-BOTS.
She helped the kids program the bots to move to the different bugs!
We also worked on sorting
and balancing bugs.
They even created their own bugs!
Friday was a very special day as we headed over to church.

We reenacted the Last Supper...
"Serve one another in love".

"Take and eat and remember me."
"Take and drink and remember me."

We finished our meal by singing a hymn together.

Then we headed out to the "garden" to pray.
It was a very special activity that I hope they will never forget.
We also practiced serving each other
by washing each other's feet!

First they got their foot painted.

Some thought it tickled a little.
Then they stamped their feet on a piece of paper.
Next their friend had to wash

and dry their foot.
It will be a beautiful page in the Easter story they are creating.
We finished off our week with a special reader!
It was wonderful week filled
