It was a picture perfect week!
Let's look back on our week...
We started off our week with Mrs. Jennings in the gym!
The kindergartners learned a fun new game called "Jesus Tag".
If someone got tagged...
Someone would "save" them by saying, "JESUS LOVES YOU!"
Our math theme is all about farms, so the kids had a great time talking about farms!
They also created their own farms, adding fences, trees, etc.
They also added the alphabet cubes to make it an alphabet farm!
This group even made a slide for their farm!
The kids were very excited to see the play-doh out for the first time.
The kids worked hard using their fine motor skills to roll the dough to create letters.
The kids also enjoyed going on an alphabet hunt in the classroom.
Once they found the letter, they marked it off on their list.
In the afternoon our fingers were busy working with shapes.
We tried out GEOBOARDS for the first time.
The kids loved figuring out how to make shapes on these new tools.
The kids also enjoyed created with these special circle disks!
They made some amazing creations.
Their imaginations continued to be hard at work with our attribute blocks.
They took the shapes and created some very unique pictures.
Don't go yet... our week is just getting started!
Tuesday morning we get extra time to build and create!
Check out what we were up to...
We got to work making some alphabet towers.
It was a little tricky trying to figure out how the magnetic letters stick to the magnatiles!
The kids had a blast making up their own alphabet stories.
The kids also went on another alphabet hunt. This time they had to find the matching letters.
This group decided to match up ALL the alphabet cards first!
Wednesday we headed to music for the first time.
We met Mrs. Crumrine our music teacher. The kids loved moving to the beat of the music.
Later we headed back over to church for our first chapel together.
We joined the preschool classes in the church.
Pastor Rouland led our chapel along with his buddy Rupert.
Thank you for your generosity! This year our chapel offering will be supporting another Lutheran School in Salem Black Jack.
We were also excited to celebrate two baptismal birthdays this month!
Back in our classroom we learning about body parts.
The kids used "loose parts" to create some very unique people!
Half way through the week and we were still smiling!
Thursday we were "on track" for another alphabet adventure.
We packed up our cameras to go for a little hike!
Our first stop was the kitchen.
Mrs. Boettcher showed us some bread.
We hiked all the way to the office to find Mr. Marolf working.
Mr. Marolf showed us his Mariners bobblehead!
Next door we found Mrs. Kuhlmann.
K is for keys!
Nurse Connie was up for some visitors...
C is for cup.
We found Mrs. Holtz with a heart in the office too!
And Mrs. Kainady had a kiss for all of us.
Before we left the office we found Mrs. Helmkamp with her hula hoop.
Our last stop in the school was Mrs. Lail who works with the LAMINATOR, she showed us a lemon.
Our hike continued as we ventured over to the church.
In the found our church secretary Mrs. Adams.
She showed us some air!
We even ventured up to balcony and found Mr. Thoelke with his "tuner".
Miss Steinbacher also helped us out on our A-Z hike.
She had some stickers for us.
Of course we found Z is for ZION!
It was a great day visiting with so many fun people!
Friday we were back in the gym with Mrs. Jennings.
The kids were excited to play Jesus Tag again!
Back in the classroom we were singing and dancing!
We sang song about scratching a friends back
And we even learned how to give "air hugs"!
The kids had fun driving the tractor to different shapes.
They called out what shape they were aiming for and let it roll!
The sea creatures also joined us as we talked about day 5 of creation.
The kids did a great job of sorting the sea creatures.
Our alphabet hunt outside was another adventure we went on this week.
Once they found an item they marked the letter off of their list.
Some new alphabet stamps also arrived.
The kids loved smashing them into the play-doh, and then hunting for that letter in the classroom.
It "shaped" up to be quite the week!
