Lutheran School's Week

Even though we kicked off Lutheran School's week with Pajama Day...
There was no time for sleeping on Monday!
We were ready for a great day of fun adventures!
We were busy delivering some cookies to some very special people at Zion.
Someone came to deliver cookies to us too!

Cookie Monster surprised us!

The children were SO surprised!

We loved the cookies he brought us,

and we loved visiting with Cookie Monster.

We gave him some hi-fives

and some great big hugs...

before sending him back to Sesame Street.
Thank you Cookie Monster for a  fun morning!
Our pajama fun continued...

as we "slipped" into the afternoon!
We did a little shopping for pajamas!

We were SUPER shoppers!

What better way to kick off the week...

then in our pajamas.
Tuesday was WACKY TACKY Day!

Some crazy kids showed up!

A crazy juggler showed up too!

He had quite the juggling tricks!
He had a few other tricks too!

He even jump roped on a giant ball and...

some how got out of a straight jacket while standing on a ball!

The children were amazed!

They LOVED it!

Wednesday we were ALL grown up with Career Day!

There was no stopping our 100th Day from showing up too!

We had some athletes show up...

a pastor

some artists and a fashion designer.

We were also very busy celebrating our 100th day!

We painted 100 handprints.

Super Mrs. Fuhr finished off the poster to make it 100!

Then we jumped all the way to 100!

It was hard work, but we did it...

and flipped our final card to get to 100.

Next up was making a yummy snack that had 100 pieces of food in it.

It was also hot chocolate day!

What a great day for some hot cocoa.

We then counted 100 steps and ended up right at the sidewalk.
Our 100 fun continued as we went on our 100 scavenger hunt...
and built a tower with 100 stacking cups,
and measured each other with 100 linking cubes.
after all that hard work we were ready to enjoy 100 books and eat our 100 snack.

Hands down it was a GREAT 100th Day of school!

Spirit Day came on Thursday!

Our friend "Jelly" showed up to teach us about being fishers of men.

We showed our spirit during reading time...

as we cheered and spelled words together.

We spelled words with toothpicks too!
To end the day we showed our  spirit in the gym.

We enjoyed watching the teachers play the 8th graders.

We ended Friday with our buddies in 6th grade.
Mrs Riemenschneider read the children the book The Dot
before we began making our "mark".

We wrote to some college kids...

and played a few games

to get to know each other.

Of course we had to paint!

It got a little messy,

but we had a great time.

We do LOVE Zion!
We also celebrated the letter T...

with a "T" party.

We had some toasted T's...
and some special treats!
We ended the day by designing our very own t-shirts.
It was  a T-rrific day...
and a GREAT Lutheran School's Week!

Student of the Week...
She is almost 6 years old.
Her favorite color is pink.
She wishes she could have a penguin for a pet.
If she could have a superpower, it would be to fly.
She plays the piano.
She likes snowflakes and art.
She likes her family.
Her favorite Bible verse is: Trust in the Lord with all of your heart.  Proverbs 3:5
She is glad that Jesus loves her.
