Without a Shadow of a Doubt...

Another exciting week popped up...

full of learning

and creating.

We were busy getting ready for...

Valentine's Day!

We were also getting ready for Groundhog Day.
We made our own groundhog and took him outside.

We were looking for his shadow.
We found it! However, it still it felt like SPRING!
We also had fun working on light and
shadows in our classroom.
The fun just kept bubbling over!
We used bubbles to create some very special artwork.
We couldn't believe how beautiful our creations were!

Dynamite D helped us be D-tectives,
as we searched the room for Uppercase D's and lowercase d's.
Mr. Debrick even showed up to help us with some dominoes!
Animal houses were another fun topic we explored.
Which then led us to create our own dream houses.

Some wonderful 3rd graders showed up!
They helped us transform shoeboxes...

into houses!
They were hard workers...

and very creative!
Some houses had doors...
Others had fancy swinging doors so you could see inside.
Some were very colorful.
While others were all red.
No matter what kind of house the children built...

the friendships they built
filled their day with special memories
and lots of smiles too!
We are so blessed...
to have such great helpers at Zion showing God's love!

We can't wait to see how God's love will pop up next week!

Student  of the Week...

He is six years old.
His favorite color is blue.
His favorite food is donuts.
If he could go anywhere, he would go to Florida.
He would like a cat for a pet.
He likes superheroes.
If he could have a superpower, it would be flying.
He likes to explore the woods.
His favorite Bible verse is: As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15
He is glad that God made his family.
