There's no business like SNOW business!
We had SNOW much fun creating our own snow storm of activities this week.
Monday some special friends from 8th grade came to see us.
They read to us some Spanish books they had written about weather.
We had a few stories to tell them too!
The letter S brought a silly store...
where superstar shoppers came to spend their money!
A snake even showed up at the store!
We also talked a lot about stars.
We were quite the "astronomers" and recorded come star words we found.
We also did some "star searching"
and painted the Epiphany story.
We even made our own constellations.
Friday some very wise kindergartners...
went searching for the Baby King.
As we headed out on our journey,
we noticed some stars.
We followed the stars all over school.
Our first stop was the kitchen,
but Mrs. Boettcher hadn't seen Him.
We headed to the office.
Mrs. Schmidt sees everyone that comes and goes, but she hadn't seen our King.
We decided to ask Mr. Debrick because we know he is so wise.
He hadn't seen Him either.
We found more stars...
That led us outside.
We were getting a little tired...
but we kept going.
The next star led us to the church.
We hiked up the stairs...
and found a very beautiful manger...
but no Baby King.
Another star appeared on the junior high building.
Surely there were some very wise children in there?
Mr. M said he saw someone named Elvis but not the King we were looking for.
The kids did not want to give up...
but we were out of places to look.
Some of them were very upset.
We took a little break, but they wouldn't let us stop searching.
When we headed back to our classroom...
More stars appeared!
There in our classroom was a treasure box with a crown on it.
The crown reminded us that Jesus is our King, and we are "kids of the kingdom".
We opened up the treasure box...
and found a special star ornament that reminded us that Jesus is always with us.
It was one super week!
"Wisemen still seek Him."
