One special week!

We celebrated being unique this week!

We talked a lot about how we are the same but how God made us all very different too.

We also had fun with winter wear! 

 

We measured and sorted scarves, hats, and mittens.

They couldn't believe my scarf was 84 linking cubes long!

Next up on our list of things to do...

SHHHH... Surprise our SUPER SECRETARY!

With the help of Mrs. Adams...

we were able to brighten Mrs. Schmidt's day with a little fun surprise.

The kids had some fun thank you cards for her too.

And of course we had LOTS of hugs to give her too!

We had more mitten fun as we read the book The Missing Mitten by Steven Kellogg.

SO we played a missing mitten game of our own!

We also had great fun creating our own mittens.

We shook and shook...

and shook some more.

Until we discovered our painted mittens!

The Mitten by Jan Brett was another fun story we read.

The children had fun recreating the story with a giant white mitten.

We finished our week with PENGUIN AWARENESS DAY!

We had a lot of fun reading about penguins...

and reading to penguins.

We found out they are great listeners...

and so snuggly too!

They also enjoyed reading penguin sentences, 

and fishing for numbers.

A silly chef showed up Friday too!

Miss Julia (who looked a lot like Mrs. Reed) taught us how to make a Mystery Recipe.

We mixed 2 cups of yellow water...

and guessed what would happen with 2 cups blue water!

It turned green!

We named our mystery recipe GREEN WATER!

To end our week day we focused on our Bible verse...

I have called you by name,

you are mine.  Isaiah 43:1

The children were able to hold fetal model babies.

I loved watching their faces light up as they realized they were once that small too!

AND even when they were this tiny 

God still knew them and loved them.

We held a 22 week old unborn baby.

A 16 week old unborn baby..

and even a tiny 12 week old unborn baby.

They couldn't believe how little it was, yet it had toes and fingers!

Babies truly are little miracles and a great gift from God!
