Before we head off to summer adventures,
we had few more things to get done...
As we MOVED into summer,
we enjoyed some fun with WHEELS!
These cars were driving all over town looking for heart words.
ZOOM! ZOOM!
The kids also enjoyed building their own roads with heart words.
Stop light reading also kept our cars busy.
We even loaded up letter cubes
and hauled them to our partner.
The kids worked hard to put the letters together to make a new word!
Teamwork... SUCCESS!
.Out in the hallway the kids were busy making word ramps.
Once they built their ramps, they sent their cars flying down the ramp.
They had to read whatever word the car landed on.
In the afternoon, we started more wheels fun with this hilarious book!
The kids even enjoyed building their own car garages.
They also had fun painting with special wheels that left some interesting tracks.
It was a little messy, but it created quite the masterpiece!
The kids also had a blast using our big box one more time.
This time they were busy buying cars.
Of course they had to go to the bank first to get their money.
These were some happy customers!
The cars also helped us with our measuring skills.
We even weighed our special cars.

We are just getting started!
Tuesday a beekeeper showed up to talk about his job.
He let us take a peek at some of his tools.
The kids were very interested in all he had to say!
Our busy morning continued as we headed over to church to see our Prayer Pals for the last time.
It has been so fun watching these little friendships grow.
We hope to see them again soon!
We celebrated ELEPHANT and PIGGIE by reading lots of books by Mo Willems including this hilarious book!
Next the kids had to build a nest using these word sticks.
They even organized them by color.
The kids also went hunting for Elephant and Piggie alphabet letters. They discovered Pigeon was hiding in the room too!
Listening to stories by Mo Willems was also on the agenda.
I was the one reading to them, but it was fun to hear them reading along too! Some of them even changed their voice to match mine! :)
We continued our afternoon by talking about how special God made us. I read to them one of my absolute favorite books. If you have not read it, it is a great reminder for grown-ups too!

Next up was our talent show.
Natalia played the piano for us.
Ellie showed up her dance moves.
Calvin showed us his talent of joke telling!
We even had a magician show up!
This definitely is one talented class that God has created.
We ended the day with a special memory review game.
Miss Steinbacher took them on an adventure all over campus looking for missing parts to their memory verses!
It was a very special day of adventures!
We were all set for our beach party on Wednesday!
Mrs. Crumrine started off our day letting the kids play all kinds of instruments!
They has a great time jammin'!
When we got back to our classroom, not one but TWO special visitors had arrived!
Miss Julia had brought her friend Miss Betty to help the kids learn about capacity.
Miss Betty tossed balls into the beach bucket to see how many each bucket could hold.
Then Miss Julia surprised the kids with cups full of bunny treats.
The kids had to check to see which cup held more bunnies.
Then of course they got to eat the bunnies!
During our reading stations the kids headed to the beach, examining and balancing seashells.
They also went into the adventure box to find some sea creatures.
These little creatures had words hiding under them that the kids wrote in the sand.
The kids LOVE our special kinetic sand!
Outside the kids were busy doing a seashell relay race.
Underneath each seashell was a hidden a secret word they had to write down.
Outside the kids were also busy using their beach towels to toss and spell words.
It took a lot of teamwork!
We did do a little relaxing.
The kids enjoyed reading and relaxing on their beach towels.
In the afternoon, the Kindness Ninjas showed up one more time!
This time they snuck through the hallway to deliver cards and a gift to Mrs. Holtz, our school secretary.
A birthday reader also showed up!
Charlie's mom came and read this hilarious book about animals trying to fit into the book!
What a fun start to our afternoon adventures...
We were catching some more adventure WAVES as we headed back to the beach.
This time the kids were making pretend sand castles.
They also got to go the store at the beach.
They practiced counting money and buying items from the store.
This time they got to keep the items!
The kids also headed back outside for some bubble fun!
They even used their own hands to make bubbles!
We had one more birthday reader to end our day.
Nolan's mom read a HILARIOUS book about ending the school year.
It was the perfect way to end our Beach Day!

Before we FLY off, we have a few more SUPER things to share!
Our final MASKED READER showed up to surprise us!
After answering all of the questions, the kids actually figured out who it was!
It was my mom!
She read to them a story about GROWING UP!
They were excited to give her a high five
and a few hugs too!
Our SUPER day continued with some fun math activities.
The kids were off to SUPER HERO races for math.
They had to see what number was bigger.
Sometimes they had to be SPIDERMAN to get to the number.
Sometimes they had to stomp like the Hulk.
No matter what. They always ended the race with good sportsmanship.
Next up... the teams worked together to build their own SUPER towns.
Each town had its very own superhero to protect it.

Our shields were up and ready for our reading stations!
The kids had to read and throw the sight word ping pong balls at the shields.
The kids had a BLAST doing this!
I think we have some pitchers in the group.
The kids also enjoyed being "IRON MAN" and using the magnets to create all kinds of unique things.
Before our SUPER day came to an end...
We headed over to church for a special chapel service.
Each of the kiddo received their own certificate of completion to end our day.
Our SUPER year must come to an end...
