We weren't just lying around doing nothing this week...
We had a lot of work to do!
What a TREEmendous week it was!
The kids had great fun designing lots of Christmas trees.
They used wooden sticks and different kinds of lids
to create the trees.
Some made flat trees.
While others found ways to get their tree to stand tall!
We also used pattern blocks to create trees.
We have some TREEmendous readers in our class too!
They had to match the top of the
to the right tree trunk.
It is always best to read in style!
The iPads also helped design some fancy trees.
They were very proud of the work they created.
We took a break from our tree creations to go on a little journey...
Here is a little sneak peek into our special adventure.
We can't wait to show you the finished project.
We were back with more tree making adventures.
This time we were using nuts and bolts.
could be such wonderful trees!
We were filled with smiles as we did a little "shopping" this week!
We were busy buying gifts at a very silly store.

After you got your money a friend wrote down the price tag you were looking for.
Before you bought the item you had to toss it
to a friend.
If they caught it...
you got to buy the item.
It was a very tricky shopping challenge!
We are ready to face those crazy Christmas shoppers!
Our pattern blocks showed up again this week.
This time we were using them to make stables
and manger scenes.
They even found ways to make little mangers
and made room for Baby Jesus!
We got GRINCHED on Friday.
We tried really hard to cheer the Grinch up.
We made him his own WHOVILLE.
Grinch stole some letters
right out of Mrs. Collin's words.
So we had to skate through the ice and snow
to get the letters back.
It was such messy fun!
We also worked hard to deliver the Christmas trees that the Grinch stole.
The kids had to quickly deliver the tree to the right letter.
Even the Grinch couldn't steal our smiles!
Hang in there...
we will be wrapping up our Christmas adventures next week.
