Recipe for fun!

We were cooking up a batch of fun this week.

We kicked off the week with National Cookie Day.

So of course we made cookies!

AND a very special visitor stopped by...

COOKIE MONSTER!

The kids were so excited!
Cookie Monster was pretty excited to come too.

Cookie Monster was full of hugs

and high-fives!

We didn't want him to leave...
So we just kept hugging him
and giving him high-fives!

He was getting hungry for MORE COOKIES...

so he headed back to Sesame Street.

It was one special visit.  COOKIE COOKIE!

\
After Cookie Monster left, we voted for our favorite cookie. Chocolate chip won by a landslide!

Finally it was time to finish our cookies.

We rolled out a delicious batch of sugar cookies.

We made a batch of word cookies while we waited for them to bake.

SWEET success!  The cookies were delicious.

Another visit with our Prayer Pals

also brightened our week!

We brought them more special pictures

and stories to go with the pictures.
It is SO neat to watch these friendships growing.

These three lovely ladies call themselves the "S sisters" because their names all start with S!
We can't wait to see them again at the end of the month.

Our fun week of adventures continued with...

GAME DAY!
We put on our game faces and got to work!

The children brought in some of their favorite games to share.
They  had  a GREAT time playing each other's games.

There were a lot of tight games that challenged each other.

Some were new games
we had never played before.
Others were old games with a new twist!
Of course there were those games we could play over and over again!
Game Day was GREAT fun!
We had a very special Advent chapel this week, getting us ready for Christmas.

The preschoolers help lead the chapel.

We helped out too!

After chapel we handed out the cookies we had made,

thanking some special friends at Zion.
We were also busy singing for the Ladies Aide Christmas party.

The kids sang a few of their favorite Bible verse songs.

And sang some songs with these lovely ladies too!

The kids did a GREAT job!

Mrs. Helmkamp was back with Bee-bot!
But he was dressed a little differently.

He was a postman delivering packages to some very fun characters!
A goofy grocery store popped up in our classroom.
After you bought the gift...

you had to wear some goofy glasses and grab the gift as someone tossed it to you.

These are some GREAT shoppers!
OH NO!  The Grinch stopped by!

He grabbed some of our letters so we couldn't make words!

He also left behind

some Grinch slime!

It was very gooey...

and GROSS!
But a lot of fun to play with!

We wonder who we will get to see next week!
