We were ready to blast off into another EXCELLENT week!
After reading Horton Hatches and Egg, we were busy trying to make our own nests.
We were also excited about hiding eggs
in envelopes!
Hiding words in eggs became a tricky listening game.
We were also trying to balance the eggs
and guess which egg would weigh the most.
Some kids also challenged themselves to make creations out of envelopes!
We also did a fun experiment with vinegar, powdered sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
The baking powder made some bubbly sounds,
but the baking soda exploded out of the jar!
Experiments are so exciting!
Some elephants showed up this week too!
It was quite the challenge to make bridges for them to get across the water.
We also went to the circus and "fed" the elephants
POPCORN words!
The elephants were very hungry! :)
Getting ready for Advent was top on our list of things to do.
We even made our very own Advent wreaths!
Our week ended with some elves popping into our classroom.
They left us some letters
but if we got an elf,
we had to do an elf dance!
We have quite the elf dancers!
Watch out elves, we have some crazy moves to catch you!
Some more sneaky elves were hiding behind our numbers,
so we had to find them!
Our elf adventures continued when a bunch of third graders showed up
to help us make elf catchers!
First they came up with a plan.
Next they had to go shopping for supplies.
Then they went to work
designing all kinds of contraptions!
They were hard at work,
making some AMAZING elf catchers.
They were all very clever contraptions.
I don't know if they will catch any elves
but we sure caught a lot of fun!
Our day ended with a very special Friday reader!
It was an EXCELLENT way to end our week!
I can't wait to see what other exciting adventures pop up next week!
