We were excited to celebrate Opening Day with the Cardinals!
Monday was also MONKEY MONDAY!
We made some monkey bread!
Each child took 5 pieces and put it in a bag full of cinnamon and sugar.
Then the little monkeys began to shake!
It was a little messy getting the bread out of the bag.
But it smelled yummy!
It tasted yummy too!
These monkeys are good cooks!
Tuesday we played a little musical chairs with our popcorn words.
Some kids were lucky and found money under their words!
We also had fun exploring with magnets.
The kids were amazed at what they could pick up.
And what it wouldn't pick up.
One little boy even made his magnets dance!
Mrs. Hoehner and her preschool did a GREAT job of leading chapel this week!
They even taught us a new song!
All the rain brought some muddy messes.
Sooo... we went outside and enjoyed the mud!
The children got to practice writing their "m's" in the mud!
We had some "clean" messes too!
The children painted with shaving cream!
The children also created some beautiful portraits of Jesus to finish their Easter books.
These "budding" artists also began examining seeds...
and flowers.
They even designed their own flowers with pattern blocks.
Matching flower alphabet letters was another challenge we had.
It was such a beautiful day...
so these little scientists went outside to record any plants that they saw.
We went all over campus.
They found some bushes and trees.
They were SO excited when they got to the front of church
and found these beautiful flowers waiting for them!
What a MARVELOUS week to celebrate God's wonderful creation.
