We were cooking up a storm with a new visitor!
Miss Julia was back, and she brought her friend Miss Betty to help her talk about capacity!
My cup runneth over with FUN!
The "letter b" brought an exciting swat the "b" game!
Don't bug us we are working!
Wednesday a very special helper arrived to teach!
Miss Anna is a 6th grader at Zion who "won" a chance to be kindergarten teacher for a day!
She helped tell the Easter story with the parachute.
He is risen indeed. ALLELUIA!
She took the kids to recess,
and taught the children some fun cheers!
We have some excellent cheerleaders in kindergarten!
GO BOBCATS!
They had SO much fun!
She made sure we didn't leave anyone behind.
During reading time she helped us listen to stories on the computer.
We also had fun working on nursery rhymes this week.
The itsy bitsy spider...
went up the water spout!
Some kids made an amazing water spout for their spider!
Miss Anna also taught them a rhyming Jenga game with Humpty Dumpty's wall.
They had to try to find the matching rhyming words...
and not knock the wall down.
The children also tried to keep Humpty from falling off of the wall.
It was quite the balancing act.
One kindergarten found another way to keep Humpty from falling.
He made a bridge!
Miss Anna even read to the children a few stories.
The children loved her,
and were sad to see her go.
She will make a GREAT teacher some day!
We caught more nursery rhymes on Thursday.
We listened to a crazy story about a dish that ran away with a spoon!
We also sang about London Bridge and designed our own bridges.
Of course Jack and Jill showed up with their pail of water!
The children had to find the right vowel in the pail to make a word.
We finished the week with more nursery rhyme fun as we filled a pail of water.
Each child guessed how much water the pail would hold.
We also found some mittens that belonged to some kittens!
Our week wasn't complete until our FUN Friday reader came!
What a special week!
