First we were dressed for a little Christmas Chaos!
The kids worked together to make mangers
and stables.
They used a variety of shapes to make the Christmas story scene.
We weren't sleeping on the job...
we were busy singing and dancing!
"God loves you...
and I love you...
and that's the way it's going to be!"

We even had some JOYful pajamas!
We loved celebrating the letter J with some candy cane adventures!
The kids loved using candy canes to do some writing.
The kids rolled the candy dice to see what sight word to cover.
They had to see what tower was the tallest.
In this game they used the peppermint spinner to find a sight word. Then they decorated their candy cane with the sight word.
Mrs. Donner was back to help us do some balancing!
First, one child chose some candy canes to try to balance.
Then Mrs. Donner picked a word for each side of the balance.
The kids had to guess which word would be heavier by writing it down.
The different candy canes surprised them with how heavy they were!
The kids also had fun playing a little candy cane bingo!
While we were reading The Legend of the Candy Cane,
the kids each got a small peppermint candy to suck on.

Turn it around and a staff you will see
Jesus the Good Shepherd was born for you and me!
It was a YUMMY story about a candy maker and the meaning of the candy cane.
The kids had a GREAT time making candy cane designs.
Look carefully! These boys even made a shepherd!
Miss Steinbacher was back with another fantastic memory verse activity!
The kids would JUMP and say, "GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!" When they landed they said,
"and on earth peace to men."
We were dreaming of more fun Christmas adventures for tomorrow...
We were dressed for success as we over accessorized!
We had fun doing our Nativity exercises!
First they galloped like donkeys to Bethlehem.
Stable jumps had them hopping in the air in the shape of a stable.
These little angels were jumping and spinning as they yelled "JESUS IS BORN"!
Star jumps rounded out their 4th corner.
They ran like a shepherd between each station.
When they got tired, they stood in the middle
and calmly rocked baby Jesus.
Mrs. Crumrine led the kids in a fun version of Jingle Bells,
complete with BELLS!
The kids have been enjoying our new turf at recess!
We did some relay races to run up and down the hill.
They even had a chance to roll down the hill!
They LOVE this new hill to play on!
Mrs. Helmkamp led our special Advent chapel.
She talked about the different ornaments on the tree and the meaning behind them.
We had one more day of adventures left...
We started off our day heading over to church lead a very special Advent service.
The kids did an amazing job of sharing the Good news of Jesus' birth.
We headed back to class to celebrate Jesus birthday by opening presents!
They each received a special ornament.
Then it was time to PARTY!
It was GAME TIME!
A little snow shoveling game!
They had fun making a little snowman.
We were also busy making cards for our Homebound friends.
And of course we had yummy snacks!
We had lots of wonderful helpers
that made our party full of smiles
and hugs!
