Hats Off to a Great Week!

We were all stacked up for another GREAT week!

Our sight word cups make some amazing towers!
Towers stacked tall.

Towers stacked wide with our sight word sticks stacked in between.

We were also busy working on perfect pets.

We were busy making pet graphs too.

Our crazy pets included giraffes, zebras, bears... OH MY!
We were all set for a T-rrific  Tuesday!
We were busy stamping our sight words.
We were also busy making words.

The kids had to pick up a t-shirt with a picture on it.
Then they had to find the beginning letter of the word
and the ending chunk.
Then they put it all together to make a word.
These kids are doing a great job

 of making words!
Our T-Party continued with a t-shirt hunt.

The kids wrote down as many as they could find on the t-shirts.

They even found words on their friends' shirts.

The T-shirt hunt continued

as the kids went "shopping" for t-shirts.

The kids were excited to get a little messy
as they worked on tie-dying tiny t-shirts.

They turned out T-rrific!

After reading Yertle the Turtle,

we started stacking turtle shells.

The kids had to roll the dice to see how many "shells" they had to stack.

They pulled off quite the balancing act!

Finally it was time to officially start our T-PARTY!

We had some special guests show up
 from turtles...
and tigers too!

Of course we had some "tea".

Pinkies out!
We also had some toasted T's at our T-Party.

It was a T-RRIFIC Tuesday to have a T-PARTY!
The fun continued with ONE FISH TWO FISH RED FISH BLUE FISH.

We went fishing for beginning sounds

and ending sounds.

It was trickier catching these fish than we thought!

They kept trying to swim away!

We also had a very special treat!

PTL was so kind and bought all the kids SNOW CONES!

One cone

TWO cone
RED cone
BLUE cone

YAY!  SO SWEET!

Something looked a little fishy...

Our yummy snack helped us practice making our F's.

Our fishy fun also helped us with our numbers.

The kids picked out a number fish and had to make that number with dough.

Then they had to put that many bubbles on the 10 frame.

Fish designs turned into some amazing creations.

The story Socks on Fox

inspired us to sock it to the alphabet.

But our feet fun didn't stop here...

Serve one another in love...

We practiced our Bible verse

and lived our Bible verse.

Mr. Debrick stopped by to help paint our feet.

Some kids were a little nervous at first.
But then they couldn't control the giggles
once they realized how ticklish their feet were!

After Mr. Debrick and Mrs. McBroom painted the kids' feet,
they made a special print of their foot.

Then it was time to serve one another in love.
The kids helped wash and dry each other's feet.

I hope it is a memory they will never forget!

We ended our week
with HAT DAY!
The kids worked hard to fixed some mixed up hats.

Each hat had a word on it.
The kids had to switch the hats around
to make a good sentence.

Another fun hat game the kids played  was a mystery game.

The "teacher" hid a letter under each students hat.

The students had to read the letter and write it down.

The kids were up to more balancing acts.

They built some crazy Seussvilles.

Some even had spinning trees in there town.

Our week was filled with so many fun memories

but one of my favorites was our Triumphant Ride into Jerusalem.
Each child had a chance to "ride in the parade".

The kids waved palm branches
and threw down their coats.

They sang HOSANNA

HOSANNA!

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!

It was a beautiful day to celebrate Palm Sunday.

Hats off to a great week!
