One EXCELLENT week!

We were all "tied up"

with some excellent learning adventures.

The kids had a great time using the clay
to make letters in the alphabet.

Some even made their own names!

They also used pattern blocks to make letters.

Playing lots of new games also kept us busy this week.

The "teacher" hid a letter
in an envelope.

The students had to guess which letter was missing!

As we finished learning about Noah's Ark,
we tried to figure out what might make a good ark.
First we checked to see if it would float.
Then we started adding animals on the "ark".
We counted to see how many would fit.

Some boats held a lot of animals!

Others had to work really hard to get the animals to stay on the boat!
Others just sank when they got any animals inside.
The kids had a GREAT time with this experiment!

They also had fun designing Noah's Ark with magnatiles.
What great teamwork!

We rolled right into our next day of fun.

We were ready for some EGG-cellent adventures.

The kids did a great job of matching the capital egg
to the lowercase egg!

Another fun game with eggs!

This time the "teacher" hid letters inside of eggs!
The kids had to figure out which letter was in their egg and write it down.

Mrs. Linnamen led chapel this week with the help of some of her students.

She talked about the story of Adam and Eve and God's love and forgiveness.

A bunch of elephants also came parading into our classroom.

The kids worked really  hard

to create some amazing elephant  bridges.

Their job was to see if they could get the elephants to balance on their bridges.

They came up with some very unique ideas!

Some were very, very long!
Others were more like stairs.
It was so great to see them working together to create these incredible bridges!

We also read a book about Elmer the patchwork elephant.

The kids had a great time designing their very own Elmers.

The elephants are now parading in our hallway.
We were looking for more fun...
it jumped right into our classroom!

These crazy frogs were looking carefully

for their lily pads.

Then they leaped to the right letter put their match on .

We took our frog jumping skills
to the hallway
as we played  a fun game of LEAP FROG!
The kids had to jump over their friends
who were wearing "frog jumping" letters.
The kids LOVED this game!
The kids also went fishing this week.

After they caught a letter

they had to find a picture

that started with that letter.

It was a FINtastic game!

As we talked about the story of Abraham and  Sarah, we also talked about our families.

The kids had fun designing houses for families.

They also had fun painting their own families.

We truly are blessed by God in so many ways.

Another great day was right around the corner...
We started off the day by reading the book Ish

The kids then invented their own "painting tools".

They had quite the imaginations,

using a variety of materials

to create some sort of paint brush.

Then they set to work painting

to test out their new invention.

Some were a little more challenging than others.

It wasn't as easy to paint with as we thought it would be!

The kids still did an amazing job

and created quite the masterpieces!

More alphabet adventures popped up

as the kids used the "linking cube letters"

to build and create!

Invisible Boy was another great book we read this week.

We got right to work making "invisible" names.

We discovered a special way to make them appear, reminding us to make sure none of our friends ever felt "invisible".

The kids loved this sooo much, they said, "I'm sure we could try this home!"

This book was also a great one to end our week.

It talked about STICKING together as friends.

SO we worked together with some sticks

to make some wonderful designs.
It also talked about how friendship ROCKS!

SO we went looking for some rocks

and decorated them.

We also headed outside

and found some sticks to go with our rocks.

Yes, we always STICK together

because being a good friend truly does ROCK!

We ended our day with our Friday reader!

She read a funny story about pug dogs.
It was a great way to end our week!
