Dynamite Week!

We kicked off our DYNAMITE week with International Dot Day!

We started the celebration with Mrs. Stanglein's preschoolers.

Mrs. Stanglein read us the book The Dot  by Peter Reynolds.

Then we got to work making our "own mark".

We created "dot sculptures".

Stamping dots with paint was also a part of our dot adventures.

We built creations with dotted dominoes.

We even blew "dots" in the sky!

It was a great way to celebrate DOT DAY!

Back in the classroom, more dot fun appeared.

The kids worked on making dotted names.
They also dotted some circles...

And twisted and turned

WOW!  A masterpiece!
This week the kids also learned a new game called "Beat the Clock"

The kids had 3 minutes to  pick a letter card and
match the letters up with the letter on our rug.
They worked really hard!

The kids were SO excited to BEAT the CLOCK!
This week we also snuck down to the church basement

to meet some very special people!
These special people are our PRAYER PALS.
Each child was given one or two people
to be their Prayer Pals for the year.

We will get to meet with them once a month
and share stories with them,
special pictures and cards

and even a few smiles and laughs!

Best of all they will be praying for your child,
And we will be praying for them.

We can't wait to see them again soon!

The fun didn't stop there...

After Pastor Reitz led our chapel about the Good Samaritan...

we headed back to the classroom to be D-tectives.

The kids did a great job of sorting

capital and lowercase Dd's.

They also worked together to go around the room

and look for Dd's hiding in our classroom.

They are quite the D-tectives!
We took our D-tective work to the hallways.

This time we were number detectives.

The looked everywhere for numbers throughout the school.

Then they wrote the numbers down in their special detective notebooks.

Finally our DYNAMITE DAD'S DAY had arrived!

The kids couldn't wait for their dads to be "kindergartners"for a day!

We sang a few songs for them.

Of course we made messes with them!

You can't leave kindergarten without painting!

Here are just a few more SUPER pics from Dad's Day!

It was a GREAT DAY!

One I'm sure these kids will always remember.  :)

It was one DYNAMITE week!
