What a Week!

We were all lined up for another great week
filled with learning and
fun friends!
We headed outside to celebrate the Solar Eclipse!

We started off by having a picnic lunch with the whole school.

Then we did some "totality" fun activities,

including making shadows.

We were excited a lot of fun people

came to join us.
Finally it was time

 to head to our towels...
and get ready for totality!

It was a great day

with a lot of great people!

A day we will always remember!
A day that made us smile from the inside out!

Tuesday we had our first chapel with Mrs. Haun.

She taught us the BIBLE song.

We also practiced reading independently. We are quite the readers already!

The Chicka Chicka BOOM BOOM! story also came to our room.

We decided to make our own trees.
We painted our arms AND our hands this time!
Then we added our name to the tree.

The children also got a little creative with their tree designs.

Chicka Chicka BOOM BOOM!
Our creation story inspired us to create some bat caves...
and some other fun creatures like snails and dragonflies.
We took our alphabet adventures on the road
as we went on a hike looking for things from A-Z.
Our first stop was to the kitchen where we met Miss Mel!
She showed us some milk.

We kept walking and...
stopped in the library for the letter L.
We found Mr. Marolff in the office with a Mariner bobblehead.
We had to promise to give it back!
He also had a bobblehead of himself that he gave us!

Mrs. Schmidt was our next stop.
She gave us some star and stocking erasers for the letter S.

Mr. Debrick came out of his office...
to show us that he is a dad for the letter D!

Our nurse happened to be free to see us.

She gave us NOTHING for the letter N!
We had fun stopping to see Mrs. Haun.
She gave us HAPPY FACE stickers, and we gave her HUGS!
Mrs. Helmkamkp greeted us with hi-fives for the letter H.
We headed over to church

and found Pastor Reitz
with a rock.

Pastor Rouland had a ROUND golf ball for us.

Mrs. Thomason was also in the office, and she showed us a typewriter.

Upstairs we found Ms. Andrews with an aloe vera plant.
Mr. Thoelke let us a play a triangle.

AND Mrs. Thoelke showed us the treble clef.
It was a wonderful adventure!
Later we met Miss Julia with a juice box for the letter J.

We also had some more letter adventures back in our classroom.

Cheering for each other

as we spelled each other's names was great fun!

Alphabet puzzles also challenged us to work together.
Some children even made letters out of linking cubes.

We topped off this week with a fun Friday reader!

It was a great way to end one adventure filled weekend!
