One GREAT week!

It was a chilly week but...
that didn't stop us from mixing up some more fun!
After reading the book, The Doorbell Rang

we decided to make some cookies to share.
We added some eggs...

without adding a single shell!

The cookies needed a few more ingredients

before we were ready to mix it all up.

The dough was ready to be baked.

While we waited for a our cookies to be done, a special visitor arrived!

What a WONDERFUL surprise!
Cookie Monster brought some yummy cookies too!

Cookie Monster had a few hugs for us too!

AND a few high fives!

What a fun new friend we made.
We hope...

he can come back again soon!
What a special day!
Voting for our favorite cookie was next on our agenda.  Chocolate chip cookies won!
We made some cookie words too!

Designing our own cookies was a little bit more of a challenge.

They weren't quite as tasty as the real thing!

We also designed our own Christmas ornaments.
And found a special spot to put them on our tree.
The ornaments are sure to be special treasures for years to come!

Trouble showed up on Tuesday with Game Day!

The kids had a great time learning new games
and playing a few classics!
They did a great job of teaching each other how to play.

Whatever game they were playing
they had a great time!
They were full of smiles...
and got a little twisted up
but they had a lot of fun!
We also had fun delivering our cookies.

We delivered them to a lot of special people at Zion.
It was our way of saying thank you!

More fun visitors came this week!

The fifth graders came to help us make some cards
for our homebound friends.
We hope the cards will bring Christmas smiles to their faces!

As we were working on our Christmas trees...

the Grinch came to help us with a tricky spelling game.

Better than the Grinch visiting was Mr. Maddick!

He had the children singing and smiling as he played his guitar.
But the Grinch did leave behind some...
Grinch slime!
It felt a little gross...
but some of the kids LOVED it!

We ended our week all dressed up

and filled with smiles as we helped lead a special Christmas service!

It was a great Christmas celebration!

She is 5 years old.
Her favorite color is orange.
Her favorite food is green grapes, but she also loves popcorn and pasta!
If she could go anywhere, she would go to the store with her dad.
She would like a cat for a pet.
If she could have a superpower, it would be throwing ice.
She loves doing her Bible verses.
Her favorite Bible verse is: Trust in the Lord with all of your heart.  Proverbs 3:5
She is glad that Jesus died on the cross.
