He Ties our Hearts Together...

Before we head off into the summer...

We had blast enjoying the last moments of kindergarten together!

We headed off onto our field trip
to TOWNE PARK!

The weather was hot and the cicadas were out in force.

But that wouldn't stop our fun!

We enjoyed a moment to sit
and chat with a turtle expert.

We held turtle shells and cicadas!

We also went exploring in the pond.

Some kindergartners found LOTS of  interesting things!

Then it was time to go for a hike/scavenger hunt.

A real turtle crawled right out in front of us!

Then we learned all about bees!

We even got to dance like a bee!

After our picnic lunch, it was time to play!

God blessed us with a marvelous day to enjoy His creation!

Tuesday we got a little messy!

First we read this GREAT book about working together.

We also learned a little about an artist named Jackson Pollock.
He made some very ABSTRACT art, so we wanted to too!
We used tooth brushes, ping pong balls, and lids...

and then we started SHAKING!

Even Mr. Debrick joined in on the fun!

We made some very unique partner art!

We tried our hands at other art projects too.

We even painted with cars!

After our fun art sessions, we settled down and

read this WONDERFUL book!  If you have never read this book, please do!  It is a great reminder for kids as well as grown-ups.
"Remember, you are special because I made you. And I don't make mistakes."

Then we cheered each other on as we shared some of our special talents.

I was blown away by all of our brave and talented pianists!

Zane showed us his drumming skills using a box and rhythm sticks!

We had some very flexible gymnasts show up too!

And then we had the dancers to complete our talent show!

In the afternoon we headed outside,

to a enjoy a special birthday treat!

It was the perfect treat to cool us off!
Cody's mom came and read to us to celebrate his birthday.

She also talked about her job as a school counselor and helped the kid make a special sensory bottle!
She helped us practice breathing and talked about our anger dragon.

We had such a GREAT time with Cody's mom!
Wednesday brought more adventures!
Here is a quick peek into our WHEELS DAY!

It was WHEELS DAY!

As moved our way through the alphabet, the kids shared their special WHEELS PROJECTS!

Each one was very unique!

Our wheels helped us move our way through our popcorn words!

Then we used some of my wheels to deliver some letters to our friends.

Once the team received the three letters

they had to try to figure what word their friend was trying to create.

One final visitor popped by in the morning.

Two police officers and their k-9 helper came to speak to the kids about their jobs.

The kids even had a chance to pick up  a vest the police officers have to wear.

It took a lot of muscles to pick it up!

We also took a peek inside their police truck.

One final snuggle from their police dog.

And a one final flash from the sirens

and then we said a "THANK YOU" to our new friends!

Miss Julia surprised the kids in the afternoon!  She talked about whole and half...
SHARING IS CARING!
She also wanted me to share this picture with the kids.  :)

Our day continued with a memory verse scavenger hunt!

Ms. Steinbacher took each group on a little adventure to get clues.

The clues completed the memory verses!

We also put what Miss Julia taught us into practice with a fun snack!

The kids had to practice breaking some fun food in half!

A store also popped up in our classroom!

The kids practiced using the correct coins to pay for their items.

They also had fun measuring different wheels.

Our last day together was a SUPER day!

We were busy building word city.

My mom was back to help with our SUPER bean bag toss.

The kids had to toss to the correct popcorn words.
They also enjoyed playing the invisible word game.

The kids used their x-ray vision to figure out which word was missing!

Our SUPER day was not quite over...

We headed over to church for one last special chapel together.

As one little boy wrote... "I do not wunt to leeve school!"

JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO!

Before you go... lets take a look back!

Have a SUPER summer!
