Another short week that had our faces full of smiles!
We kicked off the week by reading the wonderful story The Mitten.
We played lots of matching mitten games.
In this game the kids had to pick a card from the mitten.
Then they had to match up with the correct letter.
This game got them moving and jumping for joy!
Look who led chapel this week!
We talked about the gifts we could give God... singing praises, our offering,
best of all showing love to others.
Our mitten fun continued as we did a little moving and shaking
to create some mitten masterpieces.
We painted with some marbles
and we were amazed at what beautiful mittens we could create.
We also had fun celebrating TWOsday!
A tooth fairy game in gym had us working hard.
The cavities were out to get the teeth.
but have no fear the tooth fairies waved their magic wands and saved the day!
More tooth fairy fun continued back in the classroom.
The sleeping child left a special note for the tooth fairy to read.
The tooth fairy left some money.
We learned a lot about teeth and the importance of brushing our teeth,
but the kids really enjoyed making some beautiful memory verse artwork painting with toothbrushes!
We were also all smiles as we talked about eating healthy food.
The kids loved creating funny faces using food pictures.
Food for thought!
We put a new spin on twister!
It was FINGER TWISTER!
They also had to read words that matched the color they landed on.
After reading Stone Soup,
the kids practiced being chefs.
They delivered food onto their customers' plates.
The customers looked at the yummy food
and wrote down the words that were hiding on their plates.
We finished off the week with a little soup opera!
We can't wait to try out a little soup of our own!
