Autumn was in the air,
and we were enjoying the beautiful weather!
Leaves were also falling in our classroom as we finished up our BOOK-IT. GREAT JOB!
Pastor Rouland joined us this week for chapel.
He brought a very special visitor named "Gary" who taught us to trust in God.
The beautiful weather helped us go on a little nature walk looking for colors.
Mrs. Aslin also found a little beautiful butterfly.
We found a safe spot to put the butterfly before continuing on our way.
Our walk led us to the church basement where we found our Prayer Pals!
It was great to see them again.
We had some more special pictures for them.
They read to us some fun stories.
We also shared our Bible verses with them.
We have already made some wonderful friends.
What an amazing group of people we have praying for us.
Back in the classroom spiders were creeping around.
We were busy counting the spiders
and using the spiders to help us spell words.
See spiders aren't so creepy!
Pumpkins also rounded out our October fun.
We were busy sorting letter seeds.
Some real pumpkins appeared too!
We looked at big pumpkins
and little pumpkins too.
We opened up the pumpkins
and discovered the pumpkins were full of seeds.
We dug inside the pumpkins.
Each kindergartner picked out 5 seeds.
Some kids weren't so sure about putting their hands in the pumpkin.
Some kids thought it felt a little slimy.
Others felt the pumpkin was little gooey.
Others couldn't believe how gross it was!
It was quite the pumpkin adventure!
The kids were also building pumpkin gates.
They acted out the story of 5 little pumpkins.
They did an amazing job of balancing those pumpkins!
A wonderful librarian also showed up this week.
She read to us 4 great stories!
We then voted for our favorite story.
We LOVED visiting with our librarian.
We were so inspired by our librarian
that we created our own library.
The kids have quite the imaginations
and enjoyed "working" at the library.
We finished our week with a fun Friday reader in the morning...
and a fun Friday reader in the afternoon!
This week definitely gets two thumbs up!
More fun fall adventures
are on the way...
