We were full of smiles this week!
Rainy, dreary days couldn't stop us!
We celebrated President's Day by working on our money skills.
The "president" delivered money to the people, and they had to figure out how much he gave them.
They also had fun with a matching money game.
Red, white and blue also showed up to help us celebrate.
We did some exciting painting
in a salad spinner!
The kids worked hard...
but the results were beautiful!
Lincoln logs also challenged the kids
to make some more fun houses.
After all of our practicing the "Olympic" event had arrived...
Jump Rope for Heart!
The kids were ready to go!
Mrs. Steinbacher set up different stations.
The kids ran through and obstacle course.
They had fast feet!
They also jumped over hurdles
and finished the course with a smile.
Of course there was lots of jumping going on!
We have some amazing jumpers.
Some of them have springs in their shoes!
Mrs. Glover also showed up to help play helicopter with the kids.
The kids worked hard...
and had a lot of fun too!
Our fun continued as we ventured over to the church basement to see the quilters.
We had a lot of questions for them.
And lots of stories to tell them.
We even figured out we already knew some of them!
Some of them are our prayer pals!
They inspired us to make some quilt designs of our own.
We were also learning about teeth this week!
We weren't sleeping on the job...
the tooth fairy was hard at work delivering money
and reading words.
It was quite exciting to be a tooth fairy!
The kids also enjoyed making their own tooth fairy lands.
They had places for toys, teeth, and a place to fly out.
If I was a tooth fairy, I would definitely want to live here!
We also headed down to the gym for a PEP RALLY!
We were cheering on the boys
and girls basketball teams
as they got ready to go to state this weekend.
We were excited to give them "high-fives"!
Even the teachers got a little peppy as they raced in a relay race!
GOOOOO Bobcats!
Some 5th graders helped us end our week.
They helped us get ready to mail invitations to our grandparents.
They also read to us some fun stories.
They are a great bunch of kids!
We love making new friends. :)
YAY! It was a great week.
Oh the places we will go... Next week!
