Building Memories...

We put on our game faces
and got right to work this week!

We kicked off the week with SUPERBOWL MONDAY!

During Reading Time, Mrs. Fur gave the kids special flags to wear.

Each flag had a word on it.

After grabbing the flags...

the team had to assemble the words to make a sentence.

TOUCHDOWN!

These kids are fantastic readers!
We ended the game with "GOOD GAME" handshakes.  :)

More football fun happened as the "coaches" kept track of their players

and matched up footballs to the right players.

NO FUMBLES HERE!

Tuesday we headed over to church
for a very fun morning!

We went to visit with our Prayer Pals!

It was great to see

their smiling faces again.
We met some new friends too!
We had lots of questions to ask them.

Our Prayer Pals were full of hugs

and were excited to see us.
We had lots of stories to tell them

And they drew us some fun pictures
and valentines.

It was cold that day, so they shared their coats

and snuggled us close to keep us warm.
What great friends we have made already!
We can't wait to see them again!

Back in the classroom
we were busy making animal houses.

The fun just kept popping up!

The kids worked hard to blow some bubble art.

They were surprised at the crazy designs they made!

Pastor Reitz led our chapel this week.

Some of our Prayer Pals were able to join us!

More house fun came along.
This time it was our houses, and we were trying to spell who "lived" in the house.
We also "flew" to our real houses as we worked on our addresses.

After reading the story of the 3 Little Pigs,

we designed our own houses.
We used a variety of materials

and came up with lots of different structures.

And then we tested out our structures

to see if the Big Bad Wolf would blow the "house" down!

Some of the structures didn't quite make it.

So they had to come up with a new plan.
The kids had so much fun!

We also put our tool belts on and got busy building words.
The kids received a "blueprint"
and got to work building the word.

Once they built the word,

the inspectors stopped by to make sure it was correct.

We are GREAT builders!

Mrs. Steinbacher also stopped by this week.
She introduced us to Jump Rope for Heart.

and let us practice a little jumping too!

More house building fun completed our Fun Friday.
We even used graham crackers to make houses!
They worked hard to get the walls to stick.
Each house was very unique!

It was sweet success when they got it to stand!
Delicious!
They also did a great job of using lincoln logs
and other blocks to create houses and buildings.

Our Friday wasn't complete until our Fun Friday reader showed up! She had the kids laughing with excitement.  :)
I wonder what we have lined up for next week!
