The cold might have popped up...
But we were still all smiles as we celebrated Red Ribbon Week!
Monday was one HAIR raising experience! "MESSY HAIR... Don't Care about Drugs!"
We also had a hopping good time learning about frogs.
We hopped our way through the alphabet
and helped some frogs find their lily pads.
The kids also had fun playing "GO FROG"!
Mr. Debrick even joined in on the fun...
as he helped us play a great game
of leap frog!
We were seeing double on Tuesday with TWIN DAY!
We also went fishing for fun!
We found lots of great letters in our pond.
Wednesday a bunch of SUPER heroes showed up!
We had a very special chapel.
We had a special offering collection of super hero items to honor Drew Albrittons' 8th birthday. Drew was a preschooler here at Zion who bravely fought cancer and now is with the biggest superhero of all, Jesus!
Mrs. Hoehner talked about how Jesus is the greatest Super Hero because
He really did save the world!
We headed back to our classroom...
for more superhero adventures.
We found some super hero matching powers.
We also used our super brains to create people!
The kids did a great job of working together
to "make a friend".
It truly was a SUPER day!
A bunch of "lumberjacks" showed up Thursday in flannel.
Some firefighters showed up too!
Hmmm... that firefighter looks a lot like Mrs. Reed!
We headed outside to learn more about being a firefighter.
They even let us sit in the truck!
It was a great adventure!
The firefighters showed us a lot of the truck and how it works.
The kids did a GREAT job of asking questions and showing self-control.
We really wanted the firefighters to stay all day!
We are blessed by some fun fighters keeping our community safe.
Back in the classroom we decided to try on our own firefighting skills.
These firefighters had to find the right helmet and the right house to go to!
The kids also did a great job of making their own firetrucks.
We ended the day with a fun reader!
Friday we wore RED!
We couldn't mask our excitement,
as we got ready for our HARVEST PARTY!
It was a great time!
We painted giant pumpkins,
using a very special paint.
The kids could have painted all day!
Pin the spider on the web was also exciting!
Some kids were REALLY good at it!
We couldn't believe how they got it right in the middle every time! :)
A great game of pumpkin toss also got the kids smiling.
It was one AMAZING party!
And one great week!
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
