Give Thanks to the Lord!

We had a short week packed with Thanksgiving fun!
We kicked off our week with a Thanksgiving day parade!
Our first stop was a our wonderful cooks.

We then took our show on the road.
We played for anyone who would listen on the playground.

We stopped by the church offices and played as loud as we could, but they wouldn't come out...

Soo... we went inside to pay them a visit!

We stopped by the pastors

and the secretaries and wished them a happy Thanksgiving.

Our parade adventures continued...

as we headed back over to school.

We sang and played as loud as we could...

until we saw Mrs. Kainady give us a big wave and smile.

We finished up our parade as we passed our preschool friends. What a great parade!

Tuesday we ventured over to church

to find our special friends.

We were excited to see our Prayer Pals!

Some of the children even made new friends
to share some stories with!

Others were excited to find their same Prayer Pals

and share some hugs and smiles with them.
We even had a few Thanksgiving cards for them.

We are definitely thankful for our Prayer Pals!
We were also getting ready for our Thanksgiving feast this week as we made Native American headbands...

And played some Native American games.

They tried several different strategies
to get the "feathers" into the hoop...
Some tossed it...
Others rolled it.
Some stood on one foot...
Others sat down and threw it!
It was a great game!
Next it was time to make the pumpkin pie.

They put in the eggs
and the pumpkin...
added some sugar and other spices.

Then it was time to mix it ALL up. Mmmm...
The children also helped shell the popcorn!

They rubbed the popcorn corn together to get the kernels to come off. They can't wait to pop it!
We had fun learning about pilgrims too!

The children played a fun Mayflower matching game.

They were all ready for the feast!
Some friends from student council came to help serve.

There was quite the spread of food!

Mrs. Lail's class joined us too!

There were also some very special people from Zion that we were able to thank.

One of our favorite Wednesday guys came to feast with us.
Pastor Rouland had them laughing and giggling with his jokes!
Mr. Debrick showed up too!
Of course Pastor Reitz joined us.
And we can't forget Mrs. Adams
and Mr. Marolf.
It was a great feast...
filled with yummy food
and great friends.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord!

Here is a little video about the special people of Zion that we are thankful for!
