A SUPER week!

We put our best foot forward...

To make this one SUPER week with the letter S!
We started off the week with SILLY SOCK day!
We measured socks...

Sorted socks...

and matched them up.
We even had a sock hop!

Who knew socks could be so much fun!
Talking about socks, made us think about stockings!

We decided to surprise our super secretary with a giant stocking.

We snuck down the hallways...

and into her office.
We were super silent...
and had to have LOTS of self-control!
Mrs. Schmidt was SO surprised!
It made her SMILE!
We left her lots of cards, sweet treats, and LOTS of hugs!

A Spanish speaking visitor came on Tuesday.

It was Mrs. Rutledge who teaches Spanish to the junior high kids.

She brought her little friend Poncho to teach us a few things too!
He put la sonrisa on our faces!
Wednesday another special teacher helped us!

Mrs. Steinbacher taught us all about Sport Stacking.
We tried it out!

It was tricky trying to remember to use both hands.

We practiced and practiced.

We even did some relay races.

Mrs. Steinbacher is one SUPER lady!

Wednesday we also learned about different musical instruments.

We even practiced being conductors.

We also went to a fun website called http://www.sfskids.org/ where the kids could compose their own music.

They loved directing their own song!

We finished the day with Peter and the Wolf.  The children illustrated as they listened to the music.
Another special visitor came on Thursday.

Mr. Reed showed us two of his Native American flutes.  The kids LOVED it!

They asked him some very interesting questions...
it was a great day!

And a SUPER week!

To finish the week off we lead a special Christmas worship service.
All the children did a GREAT job!
What a great reminder of the true meaning of Christmas!
