We weren't sure what would POP up this week...
But we knew this week would be a hit!
We were so excited to celebrate the letter B with Baseball Day
we could hardly stand it!
Mrs. Fuhr got the kids already to play baseball with a fun game...
She even threw a few strikes at them. :)
We finished the day with some special 8th graders.
They helped us play a little ball.
They threw us some pop flies...
some ground balls,
and even pitched a few to us.
We showed them a few things too!
Mr. M also came to help.
Of course he had to show us his batting skills too!
The 8th graders also helped us with some writing.
They interviewed the kindergartners...
for their very own baseball card.
They also helped us write a letter to Mark Buehrle (a pitcher for the Blue Jays).
We had a great time!
A huge thank you to some wonderful 8th graders...
for making the day so much fun!
Our day wasn't over...
We finished the day with a special baseball snack.
It was hard to catch up on all of the fun...
But it will definitely go down in the books as a win!
Next we kicked off the letter P with some pumpkins.
We painted our knuckles to create a perfect pumpkin patch...
that had some of us laughing with delight!
Principal Debrick popped in to help us with some puzzles.
And a special reader came in to read to us a positively perfect story.
We finished off the week with a GREAT field trip to the Pumpkin Farm.
It measured up to all of our expectations.
We got to test out our driving skills...
as we drove the little tractors...
And then we rode on a real tractor ride!
It was a bumpy ride...
But a FUN ride!
We also found some tunnels and
we tried out a few mazes.
We didn't lose anybody!
Even though we got a little "corny"
We never lost our pep!
There was more fun to be found!
Our scavenger hunt led us to some tiny pumpkins...
and some big pumpkins too!
We also found some live creatures on our hunt.
Some even tried to eat our shoes!
Were we scared...
GOODNESS NO!
And we couldn't leave the pumpkin patch...
without the perfect pumpkin!
Positively perfect!
We had so much fun...
we didn't want to leave!
It was a PERFECT way to end the week!
A great week full of fun and friendships.
GO CARDS!
