A Marvelous Week!

We were looking for more messy fun this week...
What marvelous messes were we in for this week???
We wanted to shake things up a bit with the letter n.

It was one neat way to practice reading!
Then oodles of noodles came out...

We painted with noodles...

Sorted with noodles, and made numbers with noodles.
We even cooked noodles so we could make letters with them.
Tuesday was a very special day....

We celebrated Jesus' triumphant ride into Jerusalem.

We had our own special parade...

We waved palm branches and sang... "Hosanna!"

We also celebrated the life of a very special little boy.

The preschoolers rang bells to the song "Jesus Loves Me".

We left the sanctuary with our 5th grade friends.

We then blew bubbles.

It was a great way to remember one amazing little boy.
Wednesday the letter m brought some marvelous messes!

We had a fun time writing words in mud!
We also had fun making clean messes!

We reenacted the story of Jesus' washing His disciples feet,
as we practiced being servants.
But first we had our feet painted.
It tickled a little and made us smile.

It even made some children laugh!

It was  a great reminder to us to...
"Serve one another in love".
We also had fun with magnets.

We were surprised at how strong they were!

We even sorted the magnets and spelled words with them.

Friday was  a special day for us as we acted out the story of the Last Supper.
We washed each other's hands and said "Serve one another in love".

Then we gave each other "bread" and said, "Take eat and remember me".

Next came the "wine", and we said to each other, "Take and drink and remember me".
We then lit the candle and sang a hymn of praise.
Just as Jesus took time to pray...
We took some quiet time to pray too.
What a special memories we made that day.

A special lady named Mrs. Martin met us in our class room and taught about PATH prayers.
Praise
Apologize
Thanksgiving
Help

What a wonderful way to remember how to pray.
Next came the monkeys!
We made monkey bread!

We put 5 pieces of bread into a bag of cinnamon and sugar.
Then the little monkeys shook...
and shook the bread some more.

Then they dropped it into the pan.

We played a few monkey games while we waited for it to bake.

No more monkeys jumping on the bed!
Finally it was done!

Some kids went bananas over it!

It was a MARVELOUS week!

We can't wait see what special celebrations we have next week.
