Full week...full of smiles!

The heat couldn't stop us from having a picture perfect week!

We were all set to meet new friends and have some more fun adventures together.

The kids always have fun building and creating.

This week we were also having some fun playing lots of fun alphabet games.
After reading Alphabet Adventures,

We had a few alphabet adventures of our own!

The kids had fun creating their own "alphabet islands".

I love how they worked together to come up with ideas!

The kindergartners also had the challenge of making letters out of wooden sticks.
Then they lined up sea creatures on their letter.
Some letters could hold a lot of sea creatures.

For others it was a challenge to keep their sea creatures from swimming away!
I wonder which letter holds the most sea creatures.

Wednesday we headed to the gym for our first gym class!

We played a game called "line tag".

The kids simply had to stay on the lines and not bump into anyone else.
Some kids even found out they could jump to the lines!

I wonder what we will do next week in our LINE TAG game???

Our Wacky Wednesday continued with music class!

The kids had a blast warming up their bodies and voices with Mrs. Coad.

They also learned the instrument of the week which was the triangle!

After music we headed straight to chapel!  WHEW!  What a busy morning!

Mrs. Linnamen was our chapel leader this week.  She reminded us that the Bible is like our map to God, showing us how to act and how to love others.

Back in the classroom we were busy learning about body parts.

We each picked out our favorite body and told why it was our favorite.

"My favorite body part is my head because it can help me think."
"My favorite body part is my shoulders because my shoulders help me stretch."

"My favorite part of my body is my hands because I can eat with them and make shadows with them.
"My favorite body part is my mouth because I like to eat!"

"My favorite body part is my head because it helps me to look at things."
We are so thankful God made each one of us just the way we are!

In math we were talking about shapes

and discovering different ways to use them.

We even turned them into animals!
The kids also put their sorting skills to use

sorting animals
and people.

And sometimes we sorted animals
AND people!
Friday is our day to do a little dancing

and singing!
The kids found a tricky way to practice painting their names!
The kids also had fun making people that were as unique as they are!
First they took a picture frame.

Then they gathered their "loose parts".

They turned their "loose parts" into some very special people.

They also found other ways to make people.
The kids really worked hard to make these big wooden people!

This one is even wearing a skirt!

Even our wooden people are full of smiles!
We had one more alphabet adventure for the week...
These fourth graders from Mrs. Jennings' class did an AMAZING job of setting up an A-Z hike for us!

We had to find as many items as we could.

Then we had to figure out what each items started with.

The kids then crossed that letter off of their alphabet chart.

We waved to our fourth grade friends and told them thank you!

What a wonderful week we were blessed with!

God is love.  1 John 4:16
