More Fun with Fall!

Here is a little peek into our week!

We were back enjoying some more fun with fall!

More leaf adventures popped up.

We did some leaf investigations.

We drew pictures of our leaves

and measured our leaves.
WOW! UnbeLEAFable
After reading some fun books about squirrels
the kids set to work creating acorn carriers.

We read that squirrels have a hard time remembering where they put their acorns

so our acorn carriers helped those squirrels out!

Each acorn carrier was different

but they all worked great!

We took our fall fun back outside.

The seeds were flying everywhere.

The kids decided they were going to do some planting.

All over the playground they were busy planting pumpkin seeds.

We will see what pops up in spring!

The kids had fun putting our nature stuff back into our playground.
They also were very creative and used it for a play!

They had fun acting out the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

We wanted to stay outside all day but...

It was time to put our GAME faces on!

Game Day was so much fun!

The kids brought in a variety of games to share.

From fishing

to ducks

All kinds of fun games showed up!

The kids loved playing new games

We had it all!

and playing some favorites.

It was such a great day.

Filled with smiles

and excitement.

Three cheers for GAME DAY!

The kids also had a blast playing a balloon game!

The kids had to pick a letter

then hit the balloon as they said the name of the letter.

The next person had to say the sound the letter makes.

The bonus challenge was to think of as many words as possible that started with that letter!

We also talked about how animals get ready for winter.

Some animals hibernate. So we tip toed to their spot.

And matched them up.

Some migrate.

And some adapt.

Talking about hibernation reminded us of BEARS.

We went on a special bear hunt with our bears.

They can't go over it. They can't go under.  They can't go around it.

I guess they'll go through it!

They also went out in the hallway looking for bear caves.

They had to match the bears up to the caves.
The kids did a great job of writing down the bears

and matching them up.

"We went on a bear hunt and we weren't afraid!"

It was so fun to see the different bears that showed up.

We had a couple of rainbow bears.

We had fancy bears
and cuddly bears.

The kids loved reading to their bears.

And measuring their bears.

It was a BEARY good day!

We finished our week by acting out the story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho.

We marched 6 times around the giant wall.

On the 7th time around we blow our trumpets and shouted.

The wall came tumbling down !

(with the help of some fourth graders!)

The kindergartners were so surprised!

I think they will remember this story for a long time.  :)
NOW... bring on the turkeys!

We are ready to start our week of thanksgiving adventures!
