A Box of Crayons...

The snow couldn't stop us from having a GREAT week!

We talked a lot about how special we each are.
Some more preschool friends also stopped by

to help us with some snowy adventures.

We were busy knocking down "snowy sight words"...

and reading snowman stories together.

We wanted them to stay all day!

As we talked about ALIKE and DIFFERENT
we celebrated OPPOSITE DAY!

A special birthday girl even showed up!

It seemed like quite the backwards day...

and we were all out of sorts???

We were still able to have fun

and get along.  :)

Some 7th graders even stopped by

to help us with Opposite Olympics!

We were stacking big cups

and little cups

We were all smiles

as we got set to do an opposite obstacle course.

We hopped in and out.

Jumped over things...

and crawled under things.

We loved hanging out with our new friends.

We were definitely the opposite of sad on OPPOSITE DAY!

Pastor Fieberkorn was our chapel leader this week.

He reminded us that God loves all children very much!

Back in our classroom we were reminded of this too!

The kids LOVED looking at the fetal models.

They couldn't believe how little the babies were.

We even held a fetal baby that was 12 weeks old.

AMAZING that God knows us and LOVES us even when we are this little!

We said our special Bible verse..,
I have called you by name.
You are mine.
Isaiah 43:1

And closed with a prayer,
thanking God for making us so special.
As we talked about being UNIQUE,
we made some cookie cutter cookies.

We wanted to see if even cookie cutter cookies would each be a little different.

While we waited for our cookies to be done
we sorted gingerbread men to the right houses.

Each "cookie" had a word on it.

We had to make sure the cookie made it to its home.

We also had fun measuring gingerbread people...

And playing a gingerbread card game.

They are becoming quite the readers!

Finally it was time to eat our cookies!

When I looked on the tray...

the cookies were gone!

All that was there were a few crumbs and a note.

The note said the gingerbread man ran away with our cookies!

We have to follow some clues to find him...

We will go UNDERCOVER on Monday to him!
I wonder what adventures he will take us on.
"We're like a box of crayon, each one of us unique.
But when we get together... the picture is complete!"
