We put our games faces on as we celebrated SUPERBOWL MONDAY!
We got set to tackle anything that came our way this week!
We played a fun game of flag football kindergarten style!
They ran over to the other team
and grabbed their flags.
Some of the flags had words on them, so they huddled up
and put the words together to make a sentence.
When they got their sentence put together, they did a TOUCH DOWN dance!
They did a great job and are quite the dancers too!
We kept our eyes on the prize with more football fun!
The kids did a great job of calling out letter sounds for their friends.
Then the "quarterback" had to toss the football to the right letter.
TOUCHDOWN!
They have some really good players on their teams.
It was one SUPER Monday!
Tuesday we made our way over to church to join the preschoolers for a special chapel.
Pastor Rouland led our chapel with the help of his friend Gary.
Gary reminded us that God LOVES us SO much (and reminded Pastor Rouland to buy something really nice for his wife!)
Back in the classroom we were busy working on animal homes.
We had some bees with their beehives
and some caves for some bears.
They also set to work making some really fancy animal homes using magnatiles.
Some kids even made hotels for the animals!
Wednesday was full of fun and surprises!
As we were talking about kindness and sharing...
Cookie Monster showed up!
The kids were SO excited to see him!
They couldn't wait to give him a hug
and thank him for the cookies!
They were so grateful to see him,
but they really wanted to know when Elmo was going to stop by! :)
The fun just kept coming...
as we worked on a special art project!
The bubbly artwork was messy
but it sure was fun (sorry for the polka dotted faces that came home)!
Some special friends from Leaps and Bounds showed up to finish off our Wednesday adventures.
They helped us learn all about the seasons.
The kids skated through winter.
Dug their way through summer.
The summer fun wasn't over yet...
They also climbed
and bounced to celebrate summer!
Springtime adventures included shopping at a farmer's market
and cooking up a storm of goodies!
The season gave us a clean sweep of all of the seasons.
Leave it to us to bring fun to every season!
Thanks Leaps and Bounds for an AWESOME day!
Mrs. Helmkamp also stopped by this week.
She helped us "fly" to our houses!
The kids were excited to show their friends where they live!
We were also busy building houses of our own.
We used a variety of materials
including graham crackers!
It was a little tricky to get the walls to stay up
but when they did
it was sweet success!
We also paid a visit to Mrs. Steinbacher
to learn more about the KIDS HEART CHALLENGE.
The kids got right to work practicing their jumping skills.
We had a few more building projects to finish off our week.
We had some project managers
helping to build some words.
We also had some children creating blue prints
and some inspectors making sure the building project went smoothly.
Watch out these builders are coming to a neighborhood near you!
We took our building skills to a whole other level
as we created our very own dream houses.
The kids got right to work!
They were SO excited about all of the amazing details they were adding.
Some of them kept it a secret.
This one is Christmas house wrapped in hard work and lots of SMILES!
We even had a house built for outer space!
It was so exciting to watch their eyes light up with each idea that popped into their mind.
Each house has a story to tell and these kids are proud to tell them. :)
It was the perfect way to end our week.
Hands down it was one SUPER week from beginning to end.
