The smiles came out this week
and so did the sunshine!
It was quite the balancing act trying to get everything done in a short week,
but we were up for the challenge.
Flipping rhyming pumpkins kept us focused.
So did flipping pancakes!
The kids had to flip the pancake to the right word.
They then spelled the words on a pan.
We couldn't talk about pancakes without making some real ones!
These little chefs poured
and mixed
and added a dash of salt.
Stirred some more
and some more!
Finally it was time to try the pancakes out...
Delicious!
More adventures showed up in the form of a SEMISAURUS!
The Creation Museum came to Zion, and these kindergartners couldn't wait to go inside!
They showed us some amazing things!
And told us some amazing things too.
The kids did a great job of listening
as they learned about Woolly Mammoths
and of course DINOSAURS!
ROAR!
They got to see how a microscope works. This is the presenter's eye!
Some kids even had their hand or their neck examined.
It was quite the traveling museum that I hope the children will never forget.
More smiles popped up
as the sun
continued to shine.
We were gearing up for our picnic
as we practiced counting how much ketchup and mustard to put on hotdogs.
We also sorted picnic food on the SMARTboard
and made sure Papa Bear and Baby Bear both got fed.
We also worked really hard to keep bugs
away from our picnic.
Finally it was time to enjoy some yummy foods that started with P.
There was plenty of food
and plenty of SMILES too!
The thing that made me smile most of all was seeing these kindergartners working on their memory verses.
As they gathered around their Memory Verse book and began singing their songs, my heart was filled with joy. Thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to teach your children!
