It was one WILD week!
Monday we were working with boxes.
We read sentences that gave us instructions on what to do to the box.
We cut doors and windows for the box.
Added a little paint.
Our box turned out great!
We also read a box called Not a Box.
The kids had so much fun using their imaginations...
It is not a box; it is a motorcycle! See his helmet? :)
It is not a box; it is a sink!
Yes, a box can be many things!
In the afternoon a special visitor arrived.
Mrs. B is a very special nurse for babies!
She showed us what we would look like inside our mommies' tummies.
The kids were so amazed at how tiny they once were!
Psalm 139:14 has a much deeper meaning for them now!
Tuesday a vet showed up with LOTS of fun animals!
She brought a very gentle and PATIENT dog!
The children checked out his heart beat...
They checked out their own too!
They also were able to bandage him up!
The vet also brought a live snake!
Some kids weren't so sure about that one!
A little guinea pig showed up too!
And we can't forget the rooster!
It was a great visit!
In the afternoon we were working on our pirate sound...
-AR!
The kids went looking for treasure!
They had to count up their money to see how much they had hidden!
We ended the day with a treasure hunt!
They found clues all over the classroom!
X marks the spot of one eXcellent group of kids!
Wednesday a new teacher arrived to help us out!
She led gym class...
helped tie shoes,
and even worshipped in chapel with us.
The kids loved playing with her at recess!
She also helped with our listening station.
It was also a ZOO in kindergarten.
The kids did a great job of creating zoo creatures...
out of pattern blocks.
We had one more visitor to finish out our day.
Mrs. Fore has a very special talent... she makes sweet treats!
She brought cupcakes to share!
The children put icing on top...
added LOTS of sprinkles.
Then they got to try it out!
It was delicious!
We had SO much fun with Miss Ellie...
and with Mrs. Fore!
Thursday Mr. R. arrived to talk about creating video games!
He had the kids playing all kinds of fun games!
The kids had a GREAT time and learned a lot from Mr. R.!
It was another great day!
Friday was Mrs. Fuhr's birthday!
She gave them all hugs and sent them home with a very special plant!
The children also had fun looking at maps of the zoo.
The then strategically planned out where they would put the animals in the zoo.
These are some amazing zoo designers!
One last visitor who came to read to us made this one amazing week!
