Here is a peek into our final week!
We started off our week with our final good-bye to Mrs. Jennings and gym class.
We were wheeling our way back through the alphabet on Monday.
The kids worked hard to hard to sort all these fun wheels.
Then they had to create a number bond and add them all together.
They also had fun creating a heart word map.
Then they took turns driving to the heart words.
In this game they had their own race track to drive on.
Outside they had a blast creating ramps.
When they let their cars drive down the ramp, they got to read the word their car landed on.
Making our own tracks was also on our agenda.
Then it was time to balance the different wheels.
Our day was not complete until the kids had a chance to paint with different cars.
Get ready. Get set... GO!!!
Tuesday it was time to get messy!
They couldn't believe what incredible things they could do to mix up the pages!
Mr. Debrick joined us for our messy adventures in the afternoon.
The kids got a little messy painting!
They also worked great together as a team!
We also used clay to create some masterpieces.
Even the pattern blocks allowed our creativity to pop out!
After exploring different artistic activities
we read this WONDERFUL book! If you have never read this book, please do! It is a great reminder for kids as well as grown-ups.
"Remember, you are special because I made you. And I don't make mistakes."
Then it was time to cheer each other on as we shared a few of our talents.
We also had some special visitors stop by for another COOKING SHOW!
Miss Julia was back! This time she brought her good friend Miss Betty.
Together they taught us that SHARING IS CARING as we practiced dividing things in half.
Wednesday we had some fun in the sun!
It was time to go to the beach!
The kids practiced spelling their heart words with their beach towels.
The kids loved writing their letters in the sand.
They also went searching for shells.
These special shells had words hidden on them.
The kids also did little shopping at the beach store in the afternoon.
The customer went looking for an ocean friend to buy.
Then they had to stop at the bank to get some money.
Then it was time to pay for the their little ocean buddy.
Once they had a little practice shopping,
they got to go to the penny store.
We have some super shoppers!
Miss Steinbacher came to round out the day with a memory verse scavenger hunt.
WAIT... we have more visitors who came to visit!
Cookie Monster stopped by to be our guest reader!
The kids were so excited to discover...
It was Mr. Debrick!
He read to us one of his favorite books... The Little Engine that Could.
It was a GREAT way to finish up our Masked Readers.
Then my brother "stopped" by...
My brother is a basketball coach at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. His basketball players were our penpals this year! You will find those letters in their binders that came home.
Each kiddo had a chance to ask Ben about his job. They did a GREAT job of asking questions!
It was a fun way to end our day.
That wrapped up our beach day Wednesday!
We were ready to finish our SUPER year with a SUPER day!
The kids practiced being SUPER readers.
Outside the kids used their shields to block the words that were flying at them.
We ended the day with a special chapel.
The kids were excited to get their certificate of completion.
WAY TO GO KINDERGARTENERS!
Let's take a look back!
Have a SUPER summer!
We'll be friends forever.
Jesus and you and me.
He ties our hearts together.
And friends we'll always be!
JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!
