By God All Things Were Created

There was no slowing down this week!

We discovered a new math tool this week...

Pattern blocks!

Some kids sorted

and stacked them.
We also used them to match one to one as we gave these bears some chairs.

Making animals was another way we used the pattern blocks.  These are fish!

This is a caterpillar.

I wonder what else we can do with them?
As we talked about God's creation of animals, we made some animal graphs.

The kids did a really good job of sorting the animals and making graphs.

We had lots of alphabet adventures this week.

The kids had a great time using our alphabet linking cubes.

The kids got very creative with their linking cubes.

Some kids even figured out how to make their own name!

The alphabet fun continued with making "Alphabet Cities".

Some kids even hid their letters inside.
While others made special doors to let the letters in and out.
Other kids worked hard to get the letters to balance.

YES!  We love building "Alphabet Cities"!
We enjoyed using our magnatiles again.
This time we figured out how to use magnetic letters with them.
The letters only attached to certain parts of the tiles.

I have never seen such unique  creations!

We read a book called "Chrysanthemum" that reminded us how special our names are.
I really enjoyed hearing their stories of how they got their names!

The kids had fun making their names too!
We finished our coconut trees

by adding our names to the tree.
We even worked on name puzzles.
Once the kids figured out their own name puzzle
they worked on a friend's name puzzle.

A new name we learned this week was "Mrs. Coad".  She is our AWESOME music teacher.

She taught us about rhythm and about the instrument the triangle.

We also focused on our body parts this week.

We took pictures of our favorite body parts.

We LOVE how God created us so special!

The kids LEAPED at a chance to play on the "nature playground".

It was SO much fun to watch their imaginations come to life!

Some kids even played hide and seek!

So glad for some fun in the sun!

We were also busy using our imaginations

to build and create this week.

These blocks have given the kids quite the balancing challenge.

But they have discovered so many ways to build with them!

This creative team worked together to stack the blocks as high as they could!

It was touch and go for awhile!

Every block he put on caused more excitement!

YAY!  Great teamwork!

Some fun animals showed up to help with with our numbers.

The kids had to see how many animals it took to make each number.

Some kids even gave the animals "bubble spaces" so they would be social distancing!  :)

You can COUNT on kindergarten to make every activity exciting!

We finished the week with a WONDERFUL Alphabet Adventure!   Our fourth grade buddy class set up quite the adventure for us!

We took our cameras and our alphabet charts outside.

We were looking for items that started with each letter of the alphabet.

W is for wolf.

F is for Fredbird.

The kids LOVED this adventure.

If you look carefully in the window, you can see the fourth graders did too!

We had great week filled with lots of learning adventures.

We are all set to find out what adventures we will have next week!
