We were serving up quite the adventures this week!
We kicked off Lutheran School's Week by going undercover to look for the gingerbread man.
Such a fun day, so we put together a little Undercover Movie!
Tuesday some CRAZY WEATHER blew in...
and brought some fun adventures.
We also had a great time going to visit our Prayer Pals.
It had been awhile since we had seen them
so we had lots to catch up on.
And of course we had LOTS of hugs
and SMILES to give them too!
We're already counting the days until we get to see them again!
We were even busy measuring snow gear...
and our own crazy weather gear.
From scarves to
boots, we had it all covered.
More blizzardy fun blew in...
as the kids had a taste of SNOW cones!
Mrs. Collins even put a few sprinkles on the kids' "snow".
The kids couldn't believe how it changed the color of their ice.
DELICIOUS!
It was a day filled with all kinds of weather adventures.
Wednesday we shook things up
and had a BALL!
It was PAJAMA DAY!
We headed over to the church basement for some yummy breakfast.
The pancakes were flying through the air!
The kids had a blast
trying to catch them on their plates.
The kids LOVED the breakfast!
It was another great morning!
Our pajama fun continued back in the classroom.
We had a little pajama store.
The "Word Wizard" wrote down a word that described some pajamas.
The customer had to go on a pajama hunt.
After finding the pj's...
the customer had to go to the banker to request some money.
Then they had to pay the cashier.
We are so glad we didn't sleep through PAJAMA DAY!
Thursday was definitely a day worth cheering for!
We started off our day by heading to the Commons.
The 7th graders did a great job of performing some plays!
The kids had a great time and
the 7th graders are quite the actors!
Back in the classroom the OLYMPIC adventures had arrived.
We were tossing rings to words
and "cheer spelling" to help our teammates find the right word.
The kids did a great job of encouraging each other.
I'm sure the Olympics will be adding this sport to their games soon!
Mrs. Helmkamp was back with some Olympic fun too!
She even brought the Bee-Bots
to help us with some coding.
Another visitor stopped by too!
It was Miss Julia... She looked a lot like Mrs. Reed, but she talked funny!
The kids were contestants on the "BIG COOKING SHOW".
Miss Julia needed some help following a recipe.
They poured 2 cups of blue water into two cups of yellow water...
It took some strong muscles to hold all of that water!
The result was GREEN WATER (and some smiling kids)!
The kids also had a great time making Olympic ring collages.
Word ice hockey was also a fun event.
They couldn't believe how fun
(and cold!) it was!
After sending the frozen words to their teammates
the children had to put the words in the right order
to make a sentence.
The kids LOVED this Olympic event!
Three cheers
for friends and
Olympic fun!
Friday more excitement came as we celebrated our 100th Day of school!
We were balancing 100 things...
exercising for 100 seconds
we jumped all the way to 100...
and then it was time to head over to church for a FUN concert!
We joined the whole school
for some dancing and singing!
The kids had a great time
celebrating with Jenni Williamson (https://arisonrecords.com/).
What a special way to kick off our 100th Day.
The surprises kept coming...
COOKIE MONSTER stopped by to help us celebrate too!
The kids were so excited and very surprised.
They loved giving him hugs
and high-fives!
They didn't want him to go back to Sesame Street!
It was a very special way to continue our 100th day of fun!
Our 100th day celebrations continued in the afternoon.
We were busy...
building 100 out of pattern blocks
We painted 100 hands
and had 100 handprints in the shape of 100!
One hundred exercises also wore us out.
And looking for 100 numbers
kept our brains working hard!
We even took a break to eat our 100th Day snack.
Hip, hip HOORAY! It's our 100th Day!
What an amazing way to end an AMAZING week!
