Star Search

We were all stacked up for a short week,

but a week full of sun and fun!

Searching for stars
got our brains right back to work.

We played another game called "STAR SEARCH", which was similar to GO FISH.

The kids did a great job of matching up the stars.

We also worked on creating constellations.

This one is a spider.

More starry activities appeared as we created our own versions of the Starry Night painting.

The kids worked hard to create some wonderful masterpieces.

The kids started working on another special art project about the wisemen.

This was the  best star search we heard about this week.
Then it was time for us to go on a little star search of our own!

We set out for stars that had numbers on them.

We were determined to find the baby king.

Mrs. Adams told us she hadn't seen the king, but she told us to follow the stars.

We found stars in the Commons,

so we stopped to see Mrs. Boettcher.  Maybe the baby king was hungry?

She had not seen him, but we found some more stars.

Mrs. Wegener found a star but not the baby king.

We decided to stop to see Mrs. Schmidt since she knows everything that goes on at our school.

She hadn't seen the baby king, but the children saw a star on the door on her video monitor (they are good detectives!)

We decided it would be a good idea to talk to Mr. Debrick. He hadn't seen anything, but he encouraged us to keep searching!

The nurse didn't have any information for us either.

So we headed outside and found another star.

Our journey continued

and led us to the church.

When we got inside

the stars led us up the stairs.

Of course Jesus had to be in church!

We didn't find our baby king, but we did find Mr. Thoelke.  He told us there was a BIG star in the sanctuary.

The kids were so excited!  This had to be the place where the baby would be.

We found the big star.

Actually, we found lots of other stars, but we didn't see our baby King.

Just when we were about to give up, we found a star on the junior high building.

Mr. Braddy is very wise and works with some very wise students, but he had no information for us.
We headed back out on our journey.
I decided we should take a little break,
The kids were very upset to hear me say this, and they would not give up.

They even decided to keep asking people if they had seen the baby king.
After recess, we headed back to our room and more stars appeared!

In our classroom we found a giant star with a treasure box!

Inside the box were some stars to remind us that  Jesus is with us always, and we don't have to go searching for Him.

Thanks for sharing your wise children with me!
