Alphabet Adventures

We were on our way to more fun adventures!

We kicked off the week with an A to Z hike.

We were  looking for things from A to Z...
Our first stop was the kitchen.

Miss Mel showed us some milk.

Mrs. Schmidt gave us some stickers.

Mr. Debrick gave us a tub full of dirt.

Our adventure wasn't done yet!

Mr. Marolf let us borrow his Mariners bobblehead.

Our hike took us outside and to the church...
where we found two lovely  ladies.
Mrs. Adams and Mrs. Thomason gave us some yummy applesauce.

Pastor Rouland gave us some rectangles.

We snuck next door and found Pastor Reitz resting!

He quickly woke up and

 gave us some raisins.
We hiked upstairs and found Miss Andrews who showed us an aloe vera plant.

We peeked into the music room and found some fun instruments.

We stopped by Mrs. Lail's room, and she showed us a light.

We also stopped by to see our nice nurse.

Mrs. Helmkamp had hugs and hi-fives for us.

It was a great hike, and we met a lot of great people!

Tuesday we had our first chapel.

Mrs. Haun taught us the story of Jesus loving the little children.

Back in our classroom we were busy making Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees!
Will there be enough room?

Our alphabet fun continued as we made our names with magnets

and began work on our own alphabet books.

Wednesday we were ready to run!

We headed to the gym for the first time

and played a little line tag.
Mrs. Helmkamp joined us on Thursday and took us on another alphabet adventure.

Back in the classroom we weren't "puzzled" by the alphabet at all!
This week we also practice reading.  There are three ways to read...
1. Read the words.
2. Read the pictures.
3. Retell the story.

We were also doing more than building with blocks this week...

We were building friendships.

We sang a fun song that got us shaking and dancing!
And SMILING!

We also worked on learning each other's names.

The rain couldn't stop our fun Friday!

The kids had a great time putting together puzzles.

They worked so well together!
They didn't want to stop!

Our week had to come to an end, but more fun is just around the corner!
