100 Days Smarter!

We had another SUPER week celebrating our 100th day of school!

We were busy making a lot of fun messes...

that turned out to be

quite the masterpiece!
We put our game faces on and got right to work!

We had a SUPER time

hopping our way to 100!

It was hard work...
but we got the job done!
Writing 100 words was our next challenge.
Followed by finding 100 numbers hidden around the room.

We continued the hard work by reading 100 books.

We slowly tallied our way to 100 books!
Our work continued with painting 100 dots.

We counted by 10's as we painted with 10 different colors to get to 100.

100 stacking cup sculptures...
topped off our 100 day celebration.

"Hip, hip HOORAY!  It's our 100th Day!"

Next up we began preparing for Ground Hog's Day.

We practiced being underground by creating masterpieces under the table.

We also predicted if the groundhog would see his shadow.
We were hoping spring would show up soon!

Thursday we kicked off our day with Pastor Rouland leading us in chapel.

Without a shadow of a doubt it was a great day!

Matching up the groundhogs to their shadows was a fun reading challenging we faced.

We then took our groundhogs outside to see if they could find their shadows.
Guess this groundhog family is predicting more winter!
We finished our week working on the -an chunk like in MAN.

So we each made our own little gingerbread man

and put them all on a pan.

We went to go eat them...

They RAN AND RAN!
We were very surprised and confused.

But the Gingerbread Man left a clue...

SO we came up with a plan to find him and began looking for clues.

The kids are very excited to find out where our cookies went!

Here is a little video we made to finish up January and to celebrate being unique...
