Hmmm... what were we up to this week?
There was so much going on, it was hard to catch up to us!
We started off the week with Camping Day!
These happy campers were excited to test out all of their camping skills.
And have one SENSEsational Camping Day!
It looked like it was going to be a great day!
We worked so hard...
We had to take a little break.
We didn't rest long!
Some fun 4th graders showed up!
Mr. Debrick showed up too!
He helped us make some delicious S'mores.
We roasted the marshmallows and added some chocolate chips...
Some kids said it was the best S'more they've ever had!
We even shared with the 4th graders.
YUMMY!
Next up was using our sense of touch to make some beautiful collages.
Then we took an "I SPY" Hike!
We looked for a special cross, a rock, the letter C...
and a feather.
We even went fishing!
Pastor Rouland helped us use our sense of hearing with a GREAT story about Froggy!
It truly was one SENSEsational Camping Day!
The kids were also busy building their own Noah's Arc.
I think these arcs could have held a lot of fun, crazy animals.
All aboard!
Another fun activity that took place was PROJECT RUNWAY!
This time some fun 7th graders showed up to help us!
We were working hard...
to make some fabulous clothes
for our life-sized people.
We made everything from dresses
to shoes.
Hair and accessories were also added.
It was a great project!
We were zigging
and zagging
as we prepared for our Opposite Olympics.
We even made some beautiful necklaces
that were good enough to eat.
OpPoSiTe Day finally arrived!
We were focused...
and excited for a very special day!
It was definitely the opposite of boring!
A different group of 7th graders showed up for our Opposite Olympics.
They helped us make opposite collages.
We played catch with big balls and little balls.
Some went up and some never came down!
The 7th graders had a ball with us!
We also went over and under things.
We went on one foot and two feet!
We stacked little cups.
We stacked big cups (it was supposed to look like a torch).
And some came tumbling down.
And some went all the way up!
These 7th graders definitely earned some gold medals for their hard work!
We ended the day with our very own closing ceremony.
Each kindergartner earned their last Olympic ring.
It was one GOLD medal day!
We LOVED this week!
We can't wait to see what crazy adventures we go on next week!
