We kicked off the week with more sensational fun!
We played a crazy smelling game to start off our week!
The children had to guess what they were smelling.
Some kids weren't so sure about this game...
Others didn't like the smells at all!
Some smells were pretty stinky!
Some were REALLY bad!
Some of the smells tricked them.
Others even made them laugh!
Some smells were actually good!
It really was a fun game!
We had a lovely listening day on Wednesday.
We had to listen and match up the sounds.
We also spent some time camping out...
listening for sounds on the playground.
Mrs. Wegner came and played a game with camping sounds.
We had a great time!
We had more listening fun with our Smartboard.
We listened to the music and composed our own songs!
We were also busy using our sense of touch with texture painting.
Our sense of taste popped up on Thursday.
A bunch of food boxes showed up!
So we decided to examine them for different letters.
We also did some taste testing!
We tried something salty,
something sour,
something spicy,
and something sweet!
Some kids liked it all!
We love our sense of taste!

We also love the Hungry Caterpillar story!
We even created our own Hungry Caterpillar.
We were also busy creating a pattern block museum.
First we planned and designed.
Then we walked around and looked at everyone's creations.
The children did a great job of talking about and complimenting each other's masterpieces.
It was a GREAT museum!
Despite the rain, things were still looking good Friday!
The children decided to create their own tent in the classroom.
After a little bit of problem solving they created Camp Read a-Lot!
It was a great camp!
They also were busy making a special trail mix.
They had to tell a story with their trail mix and follow the recipe.
Some kids "roasted" their marshmallows.
Others "cooked" their fish! It was a delicious snack!
What a great week...
These happy campers are ready for more adventures!
