We were back this week with more fun adventures!

Monday we headed out on a special trip to save the earth!

We ended up at Recycle City.

Recycling was one way that we learned to save the earth.

We saw where all of our garbage goes if we don't recycle.

We also got to see some trucks bringing in their junk.

Reusing was a fun way to save the earth... Look at this chair made out of soda cans!

Next up we were challenged to a tricky game.

We had to figure what we could reuse to make new things.

Even the parents got to play (but they had a little help from the kids).

We learned a lot and had a great time too!

Back at school we decided to practice reusing in our own special way... building with junk!

We ended the month of April by making a special cake.

Not only did we learn about the -ake chunk, 

We also learned that April Showers brings....

PUDDLE CAKE!  

YUMMY!

The cooks gave it two thumbs up!  

We also learned that April showers bring May flowers.

And more fun creations.

We decided to spread a little kindness to kick off May.

Shhh... we delivered special May Day baskets to the first graders!

We left them little treats and hoped it would bring LOTS of smiles!

More smiles came as we met some very special ladies.

They were so kind and let us tiptoe in and spy on their beautiful quilts!

We had LOTS of great questions for them.

The quilters were so patient and answered every single one!

The kids wanted to stay all day!  They even wanted to have lunch with them.  

What a special group of friends we made.

To end our week, we celebrated God's wonderful creation by learning about vegetables.

Veggie Day was a smashing success.

Cucumbers were crowned the winners as our favorite vegetable.

Whew!  These queens declared this week a great week!

It will be hard to top, but we will certainly try!  :)
