We were counting on another fun week...
and that's just what we got!
Not only did we celebrate Lincoln's birthday,
another special guy had his birthday celebration too!
We were studying the -an chunk in words like can, ran, and, man.
So we decided to make a little man/woman of our own...
and bake them on a pan!
Of course those little cookies RAN right off of the pan!
But the little gingerbread MAN left us a clue...
We decided to go undercover looking clues...
Our undercover operation had begun with clue number one!
The clues led us all over the school.
We were getting tired, but the gingerbread man gave us a little recess break.
We headed over to church. We found his uncle but we didn't find the gingerbread man!
Up to the balcony we went. There was a clue on Mr. Thoelke's door, but no gingerbread man.
He was fast, but we weren't giving up.
We decided to head back to our classroom to see if we could catch up to him.
NO gingerbread man, but he left us a story to read. And he said he would be back later...
We decided to make some gingerbread man traps... We practiced gobbling up gingerbread men numbers.
Creating a gingerbread house was also on our list of things to do.
It turned out great, but still no sign of the gingerbread man.
It was almost the end of the day, and he still hadn't returned.
When we snuck inside our classroom...
We found a special video...
and a sweet treat!
The sweetest treat to end our week was Mrs. F. coming into read!
WHEW! What a week!
Here is a little video of our Undercover Operation...
