I'm not sure we could cram any more fun into this week! :)
We rolled right into the next week with the letters R and N.
We played a few games...
RED ROVER, RED ROVER, send the letter for fun right over...
RED ROVER, RED ROVER, send the letter for apple right over!
Met some really neat people...
who taught us some spanish...
AND we had some fun with APPLES!
As we continued talking about alike and different this week, we used apples to help us do some comparing.
We then used our apples to make some apple pie!
First we cored the apples.
Then we stretched the dough.
Next we added some apples.
Of course we added a dash (or maybe a spoonful!) of sugar and some cinnamon too.
Next we folded it up...
Pinched it shut and baked it...
Then we ate our apple pies! YUMMY!!!
We also talked about how God has blessed us with many gifts.
Sooo we decided to give a little gift back to God... we did a little cleaning! They were very excited to clean God's House. :)
The junior high kids were busy giving gifts of their own... They were raising money for a special service project through a walk-a-thon.
We decided they might need some encouragement... G-O!
We even did a little running of our own...
and maybe had a snack or two along the way!
The week would not have been complete without a special visit from our dads and papas.
We had been waiting ALL day for them to arrive!
They were supposed to help us learn a little bit more about being alike and different...
But they taught us a whole lot more!!!
We taught them how to be kindergartners... those dads are quick learners!
They were a bunch of big kids. :)
At recess, the dads showed off a few of their moves...
They did a little swinging...
and a little sliding.
The kindergartners showed off a few moves of their own...
with their dancing and singing.
Next we moved right on to "Activity Time".
They built a few creations. And made some patterns too.
Snack time is also a very important part of kindergarten...
We also love to make messes in kindergarten...
So... you can't leave kindergarten without painting!!!
We were sad to see the day end... but at last it was time to go.
It was a great day that we will never forget. :)
Thanks dads and papas for making the day so special! Come back anytime. :)
