We put our best foot forward as we kicked off this week.
The sun was shining and we were ready to get to work!
Some silly socks showed up
to help us with our reading.
Our silly sock day continued with a sock hop!
The kids called out a letter sound
and had to hop to the right sock.
A Silly Sock store also showed up.
The kids were working on using dimes to pay for some silly socks.
And of course we had a few silly students show up to the silly sock store!
Another Silly Store appeared. This time it was a SINGING Silly Store.
This Silly Store also had customers tossing items and catching them.
We have some SUPER SHOPPERS in kindergarten!
A snowstorm of fun also blew in this week!
We practiced writing our "popcorn" words in "snow".
We also had a few friends from preschool
join us for some snowy adventures.
The kindergartners loved seeing some of their friends from preschool.
We didn't have any snow to play with, so we had a snowball fight kindergarten style!
The kids threw some "snowballs" at their friends.
The snowballs each contained a word on them.
After reading the snowball,
The kids threw them back at their friends. What a friendly snowball fight!
The kids then decided they needed some machines that would throw snowballs faster.
Watch out! You might have some future snowballs headed your way!
Mr. Debrick also joined us for some snowy fun.
We had a special snowy treat! A SNOWCONE!
Who knew snow could be so delicious!
No snow couldn't stop these kids from making snowmen.
The kids had a great time making snowmen out of sticks!
They also worked hard to use dough to build a snowman.
They are very creative snowpeople makers.
This one is a princess!
This one is a snow monster!
We even made some origami snowmen.
The kids worked hard and did a great job making these snowmen!
Hats off to some great snowmen readers...
Maybe some real snowmen will appear over the weekend!
